Tag You're It - Delicate Peony

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! It's celebration time here at my house! Lots of reasons for my family to celebrate in November! My wedding anniversary was yesterday and my son's birthday is today.  My baby boy is 21!  He's growing up fast!

Next Monday is my daughter's birthday too! I'll be spending the day at the dentist - having an implant in one area, getting a post in another - and then off to my regular dentist to get the molding done for a crown. Slow but sure I know it's all going to come together for me.. I've been praying hard!  Mostly for strength to be brave, (I'm so afraid of the dentist) and patience to get me through the next few months.  I'm having some implants done and there's lots of waiting in between each step. I'm guessing I'll be all fixed up by April!

A new challenge begins today at Tag You're It Challenge.   Our guestie this time is my sweet friend and Reverse Confetti teamie Diane Jaquay!  Look at this fall beauty she created!  I love the inky background peeking through the decorative die cut panel, and the pretty accents on the acorn.. mostly that gold cap and little fronds peeking out.

I really like to spin the challenge in different directions - it's more fun for me to think of something similar but different than to copy what I see.  I started by switching up the focal point.  Instead of an acorn I went with a beautify Delicate Peony stamp from Birch Press Design. Next I chose the background colors and painted a panel.
It's easy to make a frame when you have a nested die set.  I created this frame by layering two Poppystamps Stitched Mainstreet Tags inside each other on my die cutting plate..  Next I cut the watercolor panel with the larger tag and adhered the fancy Sevilla background die.   I trimmed the edges from the watercolor panel when it was dry and then adhered the simple white frame.

The "Happy" sentiment and leaves are adhered to the tag base, and the flower is adhered with adhesive foam tape - it's the only element that's popped up on the tag.   The finishing touch are a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and some Twinery Pink Sorbet Twine.

Do you love this stamp set and background die? They're from Birch Press Design and founded by Memory Box and Poppystamps creator Dave Brethauer.   If you play along at Tag You're It Challenge this time you have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store! I sure hope you'll join us! I'd love to see you win!
