Woof Woof - Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends! I hope you're having a great day! It's FRIDAY! Are you ready for the weekend? The weather is getting warmer here and I'm hoping the weather is fine so I can do a little yard work. Today I'm playing along with Seize the Birthday where they're looking for Birthday Cards with the Optional Topping of FURRY FRIENDS!

My card is made with the Waffle Flower Birthday Puppies stamp set. This is a really fun and unique set because you can color the puppies with the optional coordinating stencil set if you like. I colored my pups with Copic Markers.

The puppies are arranged on a panel that I inked with Distress Oxide. I die cut the panel with a Confetti Die and layered it over a panel of gold glitter card stock.

To give the card a finished look I created a frame using the A2 Lacy Layers. I cut two of the dies together to create a frame. I love the stitching along the outer edge.

I love the cute pups who look ready to party! The Woof Woof Sentiment says it all right? My Miss Moriko approves! LOL!

Fusion Card Challenge - Lift Me Up!

Awwwww.. aren't the giraffes just adorable? I see a Mother's love.. but I also see spots, I see woodgrain and neutral colors... and of course I see the animals themselves.. their giraffes!! If you're not inspired by what you see in the photo.. then you're welcome to play along with the sketch. I was feeling awesome this time..LOL!! and decided to FUSE them together - feeling a little influence from BOTH!

My go to for all things giraffe is the Reverse Confetti You Lift Me Up stamp set. I love the cute images that are perfect for baby or just a little pick me up.

I layered the giraffes on a See Through Tag that I actually adhered to my card up side down. I didn't want the little tag hole showing and I knew the sentiment strip would cover it along the bottom.

The background is two stacked die cut panels in hot pink layered over a yellow panel of card stock so it would coordinate with the giraffes.

Birthday Ice Cream!

Have you heard? Birthday calories don't count! So I'm sharing a card loaded with sweet ice cream treats and happy birthday wishes!

The ice cream sandwiches and scoops bring back childhood memories of ice cream trucks and 31 flavors. If we were really lucky we'd stop at a "fancy" ice cream shop with small churned gourmet flavors, leather booths and glass bowls. I wanted to give my treats the look of an "Old Fashioned" ice cream parlor and thought the Flourish Tall Curve Borders would make the perfect frame.

The Whittle Ice Cream Sandwich is a two die set so you can cut the cookie outside and ice cream inside and stack them. I love the pretty pattern on the cookie layer. The Whittle Ice Cream Cone has a waffle print and there is stitching on the ice cream scoop. The best part? You can have as many colorful scoops as you want!

I used the Tall Curve background die to add color behind the Flourish Tall Curve Borders. I wanted the colors to coordinate with the ice cream scoops. To give a finished look to the two curved edges I added a Pointed Oval Frame in the center of them, and a simple Happy Birthday Poe Script sentiment.

Faux Stitched Roses

Hi Friends! After last week's challenge at Waffle Flower where we were asked to add a little stitching.. I'm still playing around with different ideas. If you're still into stitching too.. then check out the Simply Create Too challenge where your stitched card will fit right in.

This card doesn't have real stitches.. did I fool you? these are stamped stitches made with the Waffle Flower Stitched Roses.

I die cut the stamped panel with the Embroidery Hoops die and added a Stitched Sentiment HELLO.

I die cut the hoop and Floss bobbin from wood veneer to give them a more natural look. The clasp was cut from silver foil paper. The stitching continues on the background Blanket Stitch Layers.

I wrapped some twine around the bobbin and tucked in a little pearl head pin so it looks like I just set my stitching down and stepped away.
