Waffle Flower October Release Instagram Hop & Giveaway!

The wait is over and the Waffle Flower October Release that we're calling Pumpkin Patch is now available in the store. To celebrate we're having an Instagram hop with lots of giveaways!

My card today features the new Sunflower die set. These blooms come together quick! The set includes two flowers - one large and one smaller. They're both double layered. The bottom layer petals are plain while the top layer petals have a cut design.

I love the intricate flower centers. I cut mine from brown cardstock and then added a blush of Distress ink to help give dimension and bring out the detail.

The set includes two different leaf patterns. I cut mine from different colors to add dimension to the design.

The background is from a previous release and it's called "Dashed Rhombus", but that big bold "Autumn" word die is new!

Waffle Flower October Release Sneak Peek Day 3

It's day 3 of sneak peeks of the Waffle Flower October Release. The new products will hit the store TOMORROW. But today we're focusing on the new Nesting Basics.

 

A great focal point is so important - like the new Fall Icons on my card today. I love the pumpkins and the gorgeous foliage.

But when you get past the initial design you're mind starts to turn to the background right? Waffle Flower has loads of nesting basic shapes that I reach for again and again. This month they've added new PIERCING LAYERS for A2, A6 and A7 size cards.

The layers add the perfect little bit of detail to your designs. I cut the Quilting Texture die from yellow cardstock for my card today. The quilt pattern just cuts the lines in the cardstock - it doesn't cut out the rectangle shape. I cut the yellow background with a 4 x 5.75" Pierced A6 Layer.

I cut a panel of white cardstock with an A6 Piercing Layer to repeat the design and add more detail to the background.

Waffle Flower October Release Sneak Peek Day 2

It's day 2 of Waffle Flower October Release sneak peeks! This collection is all about AUTUMN! And today we're headed to the Pumpkin Patch! I'm sharing a card made with the new Hey Pumpkin die set.

I think aqua and red is my favorite color combo, but this aqua and orange is coming in at a close second! I created a focal point for the pumpkins with an Inside/Outside Scalloped Citcle that I layered over a panel of Quilting Texture in aqua.

You can easily add a panel of black cardstock behind the cut out eyes and mouth of the pumpkin, or add some double sided tape and inlay the separate pieces.

All of the leaf dies you see on my card are included in the Autumn Icons die set. I had fun arranging them to look like they were blowing in the wind.

If you look close you'll see I added a little Distress Ink to the edges of the die cut pumpkins to add a little dimension. The finishing touch was some Candy Dots and the Hey Pumpkin sentiment.

Waffle Flower October Release Day 1

It's a great day for a visit because today is the start of Waffle Flower October Release sneak peeks! This collection is all about AUTUMN! And today I'm sharing a card made with the new Cheerful Scarecrow die set.

I created a focal point on my card by adding a Nesting Pinking Circle Frame. The Cheerful Scarecrow comes with the crow and ears of corn as well as accessories for your scarecrow including hair, hat, scarf and even little sunflowers.

I wanted a "patchwork" of crops behind the scarecrow so I cut strips of colorful cardstock with the Quilting Texture die from a previous release.

The little sun is a Nesting Pinking Circle die topped with a smaller circle.

The Autumn word die is new too and there's also a preprinted die cut set of subsentiments perfect for pairing with this big sentiment.

Always Rooting For You!

Hi friends! I hope you're doing ok. My heart is with all of you that are recovering from the recent storms and flooding including Pretty Little Studio's shop owner Melissa. This card is filled with positivity so you know that we're thinking of you and wishing you all the best.

You're The Sweetest

Fall is in the air and that means a trip to the Apple Orchard! This card starts with the Pretty Pink Posh Layered Leaf Lattice stencil inked on a panel of pink cardstock.

 

This set is for those of you who might not like to color. You can definitely stamp the apple outlines and color them as you like, but it’s so convenient to color them with the stamps in the set.

The Patterned Apples stamp set includes three different size apples that you can stamp with solid, stripe, or dot patterns in the set. It also includes two different sized leaves as well as stems that you can also color with coordinating stamps.

I inked my apples in shades of red, green and yellow, die cut them, and then arranged them on the card randomly. Some of the apples are adhered flat to the card while others are raised with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.

I think these apples are fabulous and I know they’ll be great for fall as well as teacher appreciation makes.

Sugar & Spice Holidays

One of my favorite holiday treats is gingerbread. I'm lucky because I get to enjoy the treats without having to make them myself because my sister sends me some every year. The spicy sweet treat is always welcome and these sweet images from the new Sugar & Spice Holidays have brought about good memories for me.

This card starts with a plaid background panel cut from dark pink cardstock layered over a panel of lighter pink cardstock. I topped that with a large red Fancy Frame. The smaller Fancy Frame is inked with Distress Ink and splattered with water and white ink. This makes the perfect focal point for the little gingie with the ice cream cone. The background colors coordinate with the scarf and red frosting headband.

I tucked a few sprigs of Winter Fern between the two layered tags to add some color and interest to the design.

I decided to make a few tags with the other images from the stamp set that includes three gingerbread people and two sentiments.

I think these cuties would look great with any accent colors. I decided on green and purple for these. I cut the sentiments with 1/4" Sentiment Strips and sprinkled on Silver Sticky Gems for a bit of sparkle for the holidays!
