Freshly Picked For You

Today I'm playing along at Make My Monday where it's all about Birds and Eggs this time.   I thought I'd share a Postage Collage card using Waffle Flower products. 

I started by cutting the Postage Collage die and think inking it with the Coloring Stencil.  I masked off each stamp so I could ink the blocks in different colors.

Next I stamped images with the Postage Collage Spring Silhouettes stamp set.  It's got lots of beautiful iconic spring images. 

I adhered it to a panel that I inked with the Coloring Stencil.  I had to mask off each little stripe to get them in different colors, but I think it was worth the trouble since it's such fun colors!  It reminds me of Fruit Stripe Gum with the rainbow striped zebra! 

I cut the rainbow stripe panel with a Piercing Rectangle die. The top panel is adhered with adhesive foam so it's raised from the background.

Florida Sunshine

Today I'm playing along at Cupcake Inspirations where this is the theme this time.. TRAVEL!

I know my colors don't match the theme cupcakes, but my design is all about travel. This stamp set from Pink & Main called Florida Sunshine has me thinking about just that.. a trip to the sunshine state!

The image in this set are iconic Florida images that have me thinking of many of the postcards I've picked up there over the years. I love the Al E. Gator, magic castle, oranges and of course the manatee!

My background is embossed with the Beach Waves dry emboss folder that I inked with Distress Oxide in hot colors.

I adhered a few elements flat to the base, the remainder are raised on adhesive foam to add dimension. Quick Tip: Make your own adhesive foam with craft foam and double sided tape sheets. You can cut the pieces to any size you like and they actually stick better than premade squares from the craft store.

All I Want For Christmas

Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm sharing a card made with the Pretty Little Studio Candy Cane Collection. This is the latest release and I'm really excited about it!

Any day I get a holiday card make is a plus for me! I know I'll be glad I have them when the holidays roll around.

This beauty starts out with a 3x4" journaling card with a list of all good holiday things that I embellished with sweet treats!

The background papers are a simple plaid that I wanted to resemble a table cloth. The beads are table scatter I'll have on my own holiday table to make the house more festive.

Hello Sunshine!

Today I'm playing at Paper Funday where anything goes with dies or punches this time! With spring in the air I'm looking for BUTTERFLIES! They can't be far!

This card starts with the Waffle Flower Quatrefoil Texture die. I splattered it with watered down distress ink in rainbow colors that match the die cut leafy branches that I inked with Distress Ink.

The butterflies are stamped and then inked with a stencil, and finally cut with a metal die. To get the variation of color I just ink blended Distress Ink in the stencil layer.

The sentiment is a pre printed, die cut so no stamping required. It's a nice short cut and it's perfectly printed with no inky imperfections that you might get trying to lay down a solid layer of ink.

Spring Delivery

Today I'm playing at Crafty Gals Corner where this time it's anything goes with a twist of SPRING! I'm fortunate to live in an area with a change of seasons and I'm always watching for the subtle changes of the seasons. I'm happy to hear the return of bird song in the morning and bulbs sprouting from the ground!

Pink & Main has added on to their Postage Stamp Collection with the SPRING version. I love that I can use the dies from a previous release that coordinate with this seasons stamps!

The die set even includes the circle die for the cancel stamp. The stamp set also has a few small sentiments to embellish your design.

The background is pattern paper that I added some scallop borders to. I love bright colors, and this card is just so HAPPY!
