Spring Delivery

Today I'm playing at Crafty Gals Corner where this time it's anything goes with a twist of SPRING! I'm fortunate to live in an area with a change of seasons and I'm always watching for the subtle changes of the seasons. I'm happy to hear the return of bird song in the morning and bulbs sprouting from the ground!

Pink & Main has added on to their Postage Stamp Collection with the SPRING version. I love that I can use the dies from a previous release that coordinate with this seasons stamps!

The die set even includes the circle die for the cancel stamp. The stamp set also has a few small sentiments to embellish your design.

The background is pattern paper that I added some scallop borders to. I love bright colors, and this card is just so HAPPY!

Birdie Hello

Today I'm playing at Shopping Our Stash where this time it's all about things you would see in the sky. I'm happy to see the return of migrating birds to my area - House Finch, Blue Heron, Red Wing Blackbird and more!

Shopping Our Stash is all about reminding you to get the most of the products you already own. And in today economy that's always a good thing - to take care of what you have and make it last longer. Make wise investments in things that you love so they stay timeless.

My card starts with a Distress Oxide blended background. Sometimes I just make panels with different color combinations and put them to the side to wait for the perfect design. I topped the panel with a Quatrefoil panel from Waffle Flower Crafts. I intentionally added some of the negative die cut pieces so that the birds wouldn't get lost in the busy background.

Next I added branches with the Hibiscus Branch die set. I alternated the color of the leaves to add some depth and dimension to the design.

The Birdie Duo is a die cut and stencil set. I inked the birds with Distress Ink and then added some accents with a white gel pen. The sentiment is from the Paper Hug set. I love the mixed font and how the dies fussy cut the sentiments.

So keep looking up! You never know what you'll spot!

Spring Greetings

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! The weather is crazy here in NW Indiana. One day you need a winter coat and the next your digging out shorts! I guess that's what we can expect from SPRING!

Today I'm playing along at Addicted to Stamps and More where this time they want you to use a stamp or a die on your project. That's easy right?

My card starts with a background of die cut Stacked Edges dies from Pretty Pink Posh. I love them because they fit together like puzzle pieces and lay completely flat. You can customize your look just by switching up the colors or perhaps keeping them all the same to create a faux cover plate.

The Potted Daffodils are perfect for me this time of year because I have inspiration from the real thing growing just outside my door. I used some layered Scallop Circles to create a focal point. These are retired, but the Eyelet Circles would look great too!

Pink & Main April Release Instagram Hop and Freebie Alert

The April release from Pink & Main is here! This month features a theme that’s a mix of books and bows - two of our favorite things! The images are clean line and easy to color and yes there is a coordinating die set to fussy cut the images for you. The finishing touch is a few gems to add some sparkle to the design.

To The Best Mom Ever

Today I'm playing along with Send A Smile 4 Kids where they're looking for floral cards for Mom. That's an easy one because flowers and Mom? I mean they go together like peanut butter and jelly!

My card starts with a Picnic Plaid debossed background that I topped with a detailed Gingham die cut.

Next I worked on the Daffodil Square Postage Stenciled images. I inked them with Distress ink and then added some accents with a white gel pen.

The sentiment is a die cut Print Mom Word die with a smaller strip sentiment from the Mom & Dad Sentiment stamp set. I use the "Subsentiments" die cut to cut the strip.
