Momenta - Let's Celebrate!

It's New Year's Eve! Are you excited? It's time to put 2019 behind us and look forward to all good things in 2020!
I'm celebrating with a colorful card made with products from Momenta! You can find Momenta at your favorite craft stores like Hobby Lobby or on line at Scrapbook.com!
I started by creating a colorful embossed background with the Happy Birthday Stamp and Emboss set. I inked the inside of the embossing folder before running it through my die cut machine. I used small 1" square ink pads for more control.
Using a stamp tool I inked the "Celebrate" sentiment to help align and space them. I inked the sentiment using the same mini ink pads in the same colors of ink to achieve a coordinated look.
I tucked a heart border under the white card stock panel to help define the two separate areas.
I hope you'll check out the Momenta line of craft supplies. They have stamps, craft dies, embossing folders and a new die cut machine too - it's called the Freestyle! I think you'll be glad you did!

12 Kits of Occasions - TAGS!

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Wow it's been a busy month with lots of festivities! Our hostess this month is Marcia Hill from Marcia's Stamping Pad and what an amazing kit she put together for us. Marcia put a different twist on the kit by sending us all the makings for Christmas TAGS!

There were die cuts from Sunny Studios, Papertrey Ink, Reverse Confetti and Simon Says Stamp. Stamped images were from Neat & Tangled, Lawn Fawn, Penny Black, My Favorite Things and MORE!

I had lots of fun making, and could have kept going making one little master piece after another!

Ready to see more Christmas Tags inspired cards made with Marcia's wonderful kit? Check out The 12 Kits of Occasions Blog where you'll see a sample from each of the designers as well as a complete list of ingredients that were supplied. Pretty Little Studio - Merry and Bright Shaker

I told you my favorite Christmas collection this year is the Pretty Little Studio Glitter and Ice. It just occurred to me that the "glitter" might refer to the holidays, and the "ice" might refer to winter because this paper is beautiful and perfect for both! I could be completely wrong and this beautiful collection could be named this for the beautiful glitter print accents on some of the images like the florals above.
There are lots of sentiments available in this collection. This one was cut from a Warm Wishes Tag because it was just the right size!!
I made a shaker card using one of the Wonderful Frames from the collection. The wider frames make them perfect for making shakers. Just adhere clear plastic to the reverse of the frame, and then add double sided tape before adhering the assembled frame over a pile of your favorite color sequins.
Those beautiful flowers and winter foliage is from the Christmas Florals die cut pack. It's loaded with lots of gorgeous florals and foliage that are total eye candy!
The holiday's aren't over yet! I'm hoping you're making memories with family and friends and that 2020 brings lots of good things!

Freshly Made Sketches - Joy

Counting down to Christmas here! I keep remembering things I need to do, presents I forgot to wrap, recipe ingredients. I totally understand now why Santa makes a list! When things get busy here, the best way to unwind is with a little crafting.
A new Freshly Made Sketch begins every Wednesday. I'm cutting it close - I made this card over the weekend to play along!
I started by arranging panels for the background as shown on the sketch. I added fuchsia and gold glitter paper under a panel that I inked using the Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Background Stencil. They have so many beautiful stencils available that it's hard o decide which one to use sometimes!
And if stencils are your "thing" you need to discover Pixie Spray. It's made a world of difference for me, holding the stencil firmly in place with a light tack spray adhesive.  I topped the background panels with stamped and die cut letters using the JOY stamp set. If you look close you'll see lots of sweet Christmas images that make up the letters.
The gold panel adds lots of shine! I added some gold jewels too because a little glimmer around the holidays is always welcome ... heck! I'll take it all year round!
I hope you find some time to play! And Merry Christmas everyone!

Pretty Little Studio - Christmas Shaker

Can you feel the magic in the air? Christmas is almost here! I made lots of cards to make the season bright, and I'll be sending more thank you's after the gift wrap has been cleared away. My favorite collection this year is the Pretty Little Studio Glitter and Ice. It's loaded with lots of wonderful images like flowers and foliage, snow globes and snowflakes, warm cups of hot cocoa and so much more!
I created a shaker filled with sparkly sequins using the Wonderful Frames die cuts. I stacked three square die cuts on top of each other, and then added some clear acetate to their reverse. Next I added adhesive foam tape to the reverse side of the frames before securing it to a piece of pattern paper topped with a good pinch of sequins.
I embellished the frame with a beautiful poinsettia and holly from Christmas Florals . I love their bold color that just makes me HAPPY!
The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is from the Happy Season die cut pack, and the "Santa Is Coming" flag is from the Wonderful Frames. The clever little staple is printed on the flag and looks so real!
This week is going to go fast! If I don't see you soon I want to wish you and your family all the best this Christmas and always!

Momenta 3D Tree

Hi Friends! I hope you're having a great day! I've been making seasons bright by sending cards and decorating the house. All the little things that make all the difference this time of year.
I've been cooking Christmas dinner longer than I can remember. I always try to include traditional foods, and make sure the dinner table looks amazing with a pretty centerpiece, candles and place settings.
This year I'm making these little 3-D Christmas Trees from Momenta. These are a Hobby Lobby Exclusive - so you can only find this die there. They have holes at the top easy to thread some twine though to make ornaments.
You simply cut the die twice and then assemble them. I cut mine from gold foil paper, and then again from green to cover the plain side of the gold foil paper. I cut the banner from the pineapple die to use to hand write all the dinner party attendee names on.
The detailed die looks so fancy and elegant cut from gold. They were quick and easy to cut and assemble, and I think my guests will be delighted!
