Miss You So Much!

Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by! I've got a totally cute card to share today and I'm linking it to Cute Card Thursday where they are looking for cards with bright colors. I think that could mean just about everything I make, but I thought this one would be perfect!
I'm playing along with stamps and dies from Pretty Pink Posh. Their new Nature Essentials die is perfect for making scenes. It includes a stitched frame and lots of different border cuts. I like the big scallops for bushes OR clouds, and the straight strip can be a little stream OR a rays of sunshine.
It also includes a birch tree and little leaves so you can make scenes for any animals in your collection. I colored all the die cuts with distress ink. My critter of choice is the fabulous zebra from Jungle Friends.
I stamped a Simple Sentiment on the cloud border. The stamp set includes LOADS of sentiments - I should count them some day because I really don't know how many there are.. but you're sure to find one perfect for your makes!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this little guy makes you smile!

Chasing the Sun Shaker Card

I have a secret to share! I just can't resist a shaker card! I feel like a little kid shaking the sparkly sequins inside! I know... I'm so easily amused right?
The Pretty Little Studio Chasing the Sun Collection is everything summer transformed into a beautiful paper collection. You'll find pretty papers and die cuts with tropical flowers, beach things and summer fruits.
The shaker was easy to create using the ornate pink outline frame from the Photo Shoot die cut pack. I simply applied clear plastic and adhesive foam tape to it's reverse side before filling it up with shiny sequins and adhering it to some scalloped print paper.
I topped the shaker frame with a pretty tropical flower from the Blooms die cut pack. There are so many pretty florals that you'll have trouble deciding which one to use!
Keep smiling and let the sun shine!

Poppystamps Rose Frame

I'm sharing a sunny hello and reminding you to play along with the Poppystamps monthly challenge! It's a great way to see how others are using their Poppystamps products and get a little inspiration. And who knows? You might just win a $20 gift certificate to the store! Wouldn't that be sweet?

This month we're having a Summer Heat Wave! This challenge has lots of possibilities! How about some Heat Embossing? Or maybe a little watercolors to cool off? This time I'm going with HOT COLORS - red, yellows and orange!
The Poppystamps Rose Frame has been a favorite of mine since I first set eyes on it! I have colored it in lots of different ways in the past - with Copic Markers and Watercolor. Today I've inlaid all the pieces with colored card stock.
Yes it was a bit of work, but completely worth it when you see the clean finished design. I wish you could run your hand across the smooth surface. I started by cutting the frame from white card stock and adhered it to a panel that I covered with a double sided adhesive sheet. It was easy to lay the pieces over the openings and push them in place with a needle tip tool.
To add even more color I die cut some colorful circles for the center of the design before topping them with a Brush Hello die cut from white card stock. If you look close you'll see I've added an orange matt between the card base and the intricate die cut Rose Frame too.
I hope you'll join us for our monthly challenge. It begins on the first of the month so there is lots of time to play. I'm always happy to add a few cards to my stash! Have a great day!

My Creative Scrapbook August 2020 Main Kit

Did you ever wish you had a personal shopper for your craft supplies? Now more than ever I appreciate that My Creative Scrapbook puts together a kit perfect for card making or journaling. The kit includes papers, die cut images and stickers perfectly coordinated to work together. Here's a peek at the August 2020 Main Kit...

This kit includes beautiful papers from Pink Paislee's 5th & Main Collection. There are matching die cuts, stickers, alphabet stickers, pretty flowers, a stencil, and masonite laser cut sentiments.
I love the bright colors and pretty florals in this collection. There's lots of drama with the addition of black and white prints and accents.
These little guys are a change of scenery and are so bright and beautiful! If they don't get you thinking of tropical places I don't know what will!
I love that the stickers and die cuts are perfectly coordinated with the papers making them easy to mix and match and arrange into your own one of a kind creations!
To make the stickers easier to work with I apply baby powder to their backs - this essentially turns them into die cuts.
I cut the 12" papers into 6" squares so I can see all the patterns at a quick glance as they're laid out on my desk. Cutting them down gives me four pieces from each sheet so I can see the front and the backs.
I adhere many of my elements with adhesive foam tape to add dimension. It's easy to make your own by applying double sided adhesive sheets to to inexpensive craft foam. I can any size piece I like to use on the die cut shapes.
I'll be showing more projects made with this beautiful kit later in the month!

You can find this amazing kit and lots more ideas for makes - either cards or page layouts - here at My Creative Scrapbook! Click here to go shopping!
Hugs!

Sending Smiles!

Hi Friends! I hope you're having a great day! I'm headed off to the dentist in a bit so I'm filling my head with happy thoughts and pretty things before I leave! Honestly.. I really am happy to be going back to the dentist again.. he's someone I've been seriously in need of in these past few months.
Today I'm playing along at Freshly Made Sketches because you know I just can't resist a sketch challenge. For me it's like following along with a recipe.. just create the layout and embellish it with your favorite images.
That striped side panel had me immediately thinking of the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Strips. They come in a set of four so you can cut lots at a time. I have a bag I keep with all the spares for different projects. They also come in stitched and plain. They're great for sentiments too!
I adhered the strips to a piece of scrap paper and then trimmed it into a panel to fit my card face. I added a pretty Scallop Circle in white as the focal point and topped it with pretty Flourishing Fuchsias that I colored with Copic Markers.
An Everyday Sentiment is stamped directly on the card to keep it CAS and a sprinkle of sequins adds a bit of eye candy!
Sending you smiles to make your day brighter!
