Tupelo Designs LLC - Sea-son's Greetings!

Happy Friday! I hope you have some fun planned for the weekend! It's getting cold here so we're moving the festivities inside! LOL! I'm hoping I'll have some time to address and write some personal notes in some Christmas Cards.

Fridays are my day to post for Tupelo Designs LLC Store. They're my favorite place to shop. In the past I would purchase most of my stamps directly from the manufacturer (like My Favorite Things, Waffle Flower, Concord & 9th etc.). Sometimes I had a hard time getting my cart up to the required amount for free shipping. At Tupelo Designs LLC that's never a problem. Shipping is ALWAYS FREE - no coupon required (USA Only - discounted international shipping), and I dont have to worry about minimums. I can mix and match whatever brands I like.
Today I'm playing with the Waffle Flower "The Season". I love alternative designs for Christmas! This merman is just too fun!   I made this one for a special friend who lives in Florida!   Look close and see some of the fun elements of each character.
The treasure chest is filled with presents! Check out that fish with the candy cane!
The salty Merman is wearing a hat and his tattoo says "HO HO HO"
Even the fish are getting into the spirit of the season decorating the coral!
Do you love that cool background? It was made with alcohol inks. You can see them all in the store here. I've been building my collection! There are several brands to choose from, but I'm sticking with my man Tim Holtz. He's never steered me wrong before! I started a swatch sheet - all the inks are painted on a bit of YUPO paper. Can you believe I don't have all the colors yet?

Reverse Confetti December Blog Hop - Merry Pop Up!

Thanks for stopping by ! The 8th of every month is Blog Hop Day at Reverse Confetti! They release new product every other month, and months with no new release we show ways to use the products you might already have. If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Deanne Kuntz's blog. If you want to get all the details and start from the beginning you can do that here at the Reverse Confetti Blog!
I've been wanting to make a pop up box for a long time. I love the interactive design and all the different fun elements you can tuck inside. They are totally a party in a box. Honestly I've been afraid to make one until today. It was much simpler than I expected. I cut a piece of Baby Blue cardstock to 5 1/5" x 11". I scored it horizontally at 3" making the box bottom of the card 3" and the flaps 2 1/2" I scored the panel vertically at 3 1/4", 5 1/4", 8 1/2", and 10 1/4" I cut the smaller 2 1/2" half of the card on the score lines to create the flaps. Once the box was assembled I added strips of paper inside the box to attach images to.   I love that this box folds flat for easy mailing!
I decorated the box with paper from the Cheerful and Kind 6" paper pad. The sentiment on the front flap is "Merry" from Joyful Words Confetti cuts, and "Christmas" from the Sentimental Christmas stamp set.
The scene on the back flap includes a Let it Snow gold snowflake, Branch Out tree die cut and some hand cut hills cut from pattern paper. The little die cut dots you see scattered are the "holes" I saved from different die cut tags.
Santa, and his reindeer are from the Jolly Holiday stamp set. T he little packages are from the new Christmas Cheer stamp set. If you look close I added a white Double Edge Scallop Border behind the reindeer to look like snow!
Ready to see more projects from the Reverse Confetti Crew? Your next stop is Susan Liles!!

Here's the complete hop list today for easy reference!

Happy Hopping and have a great day!

Tag You're It Challenge - Gold Snowflake

I'm sorry to report that this is Tag You're It Challenge's final challenge. Unfortunately there hasn't been enough participation to continue the challenge.   I know I will really miss this challenge!

That said.. I hope you'll join us so we can go out on a high note! Our guest this time is the amazing Leigh Penner from "To The Full" blog. Leigh has been blogging since 2005 and if you're not familiar with her I recommend you check her out ! You wont be disappointed.

Here's how Leigh's tag inspired me.. I loved the clean soft blue background and the gold tipped snowflake. The clean sentiment through the center of the snowflake in black takes center attention!

I couldn't just copy Leigh's tag - I wanted to make this my own. I started with a few gold die cut snowflakes from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. These are both from the Funky Flakes Fri Dies set that's on sale in the store.

I layered them on a white tag stamped with a sentiment from Tag You're It. I added a second pink tag to add more color to my design. Lastly I embellished the snowflakes with pink gems to add some sparkle and shine.

Want to see more designs inspired by Leigh's design? Head on over to the Tag You're It Challenge blog where you'll find more samples and a place to link your own tag. I really hope you'll join us for our very last challenge!

Want to go shopping? If you see something you like I hope you will use my special discount code. You'll save 15% off your ENTIRE order - sale items included! Any commission that would normally go to me for your purchase has been redirected to CAS-ual Fridays to use toward Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. I accept no commission for the use of products on my blog and only use and endorse products that I love and would recommend. Here's a link to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Store.

Fusion Card Challenge - Blue Present

Looking for a challenge to play today? There's a brand new one at Fusion Card Challenge! Check it!
This one was a little trixie for me. I loved the image of that beautifully wrapped present.. and look.. the sketch looks like a wrapped present too! I won't tell you how long I looked at this image before I actually committed and made this....
Looks just like the photo right? I started with a background of Birch Press Design Fiori Plates B and C. This is a set of three stackable dies - you can use one layer or all three. For this one I used just two set on a background of silver foil paper.

The sentiment from Birch Press Design Let It Snow stamp set is inked with blue on a Poppystamps Tunnel Tag.The pretty foliage includes Poppystamps Perfect Pine Needles and Pretty Pink Posh Festive Holly cut from silver foil and glitter paper.
Still need a little more inspiration? Hop on over to the Fusion Card Challenge blog where you'll find projects from the whole team to give your mojo a jump start! Have a great day!

Pretty Little Studio - Home For Christmas!

I hope you're having a great day! Is the tree up yet? For me decorating the tree gets me in a nostalgic mood. Unwrapping each ornament brings back lots of memories! Some are from friends, the kids made some of them in school, and still others are from places we've visited over the years. The vintage look ornaments on my card today are from the NEW Pretty Little Studio Home for Christmas Collection!

The collection is fun and fresh.. it includes the traditional Christmas elements you'd expect.. ornaments, and trees, but there's also florals, garland, and reindeer in an artsy hand painted watercolor style.

There's lots of embellishments to choose from like this "Believe" die cut sentiment from the Happy Memories pack. See what I mean about the hand painted look?

The ornaments and foliage are from two different die cut packs - Happy Memories, and Grandma's House. They're easy to arrange - everything is printed, die cut and ready to work with.
It wouldn't be Christmas without a little bling! I added some gems to the ornament centers and some iridescent sequins (have you seen all the new colors in the store?). That gold foil lace doily the ornaments are layered on is total eye candy!

I think you're going to adore the new Home For Christmas Collection!
