Hi friends! Thanks for stopping by! Today I'm playing along with Michelle Lupton's "Case me a Christmas Card". Michelle is my teamie at Fusion Card Challenge and I adore her style! She's always trying new techniques and has a great eye for design and color.
She has an annual Christmas challenge and this time I got to case one of her cards, and she cased one of mine. Never heard of CASE? It actually stands for Copy And Share Everything! It's a great way to try something new and pay homage to a favorite card you might spot while you're blog hopping or checking Instagram.
This is Michelle's card I decided to case! You know I'm a big fan of color blocking! This one caught my eye because it's got a color block background.. but if you look closer there are some subtle differences.. it's all in the details. Check out the texture on the lined parts of the card. I also love the thin lines, and the trio of little cacti.. it's such a clean card!
Here's my take on Michelle's card! I switched up the colors to ombre shades of blue. I did run the striped pieces through my die cut machine with a linen texture place to copy Michelle. I switched up the cacti for some bundled up kids from Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Friends. They're keeping warm while they make a Happy Snowman.
Because it's a holiday card I added skinny Stitched Stripes in metallic Silver and some Silver Jewels for a little eye candy.
I hope you feel inspired to CASE one of your favorite cards too!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you!
