Serendipity Stamps November Blog Hop - Welcome Home

Thanks for stopping by! It's a great day for a visit! There's lots going on so I hope you take some time to look around!! Serendipity Stampsis having their November blog hop today to show you some of the latest products and remind you to play along with our challenge! Our blog hop theme this month is Welcome!   It's that time of year when we open our doors to friends, neighbors and family to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas! If you're following along you should have reached me from my sweet friend Vickie Zimmer's blog. If you want to start from the beginning you can find all the details at Mary's Blog!
This is the Holly Wreath Stamp - I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copic Markers.  The coloring is very loose and not precise and that seems fitting with the sketched look of the image.
Only one die cut on this card - the Welcome Word Die. The wreath image was trimmed and taped in place with some black Washi. I added some Solid Charcoal twine to add some texture to my card, and a sprinkle of gold sequins to pick up on the gold word die.
The word die is double cut - gold foil is layered over gold glitter paper.
I couldn't get the layout out of my head so I made a second card - very similar to the first, with a large stamped image simply secured with some washi tape.

Again, the image is loosely colored - filling in enough to let your mind complete the image.

Join us for our challenge! It's a fun way to see the stamps in action - making it easy for you to get ideas, AND you could win just for playing along!!   A $20 gift certificate goes to one random player every month.

Our challenge this month is "TEXTURE".   Just add some texture to your design.  That could mean heat embossing, dry embossing, the addition of fabric or twine, embossing paste.. anything that gives a little texture to your design.  Just be sure to include at least one Serendipity Stamps image (stamp or die) on your design! You have until November  29 to join us at the challenge - you can find it here at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog.

Want to go shopping? The 50% off Stamp of the Month is the Snowperson with Wreath

The sale this time is 20% Autumn and Halloween categories - no coupon required. Sale good through 11-21.

The next stop on this hop is Julie Warner! But before you go... PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. One random comment will be selected from the blogs on the hop as winner of a $20 gift certificate for Serendipity Stamps! Who knows it might just be YOU! But you have to leave a comment to enter! You have done such a beautiful job on both these cards! Your designs have inspired me to use some of the miles of washi tape I've accumulated!
