I arranged the Indian Summer Vellum Leaves on a piece of clear plastic the same size as my card base. When I was happy with the arrangement I was able to pick up the plastic sheet and lay it over different pattern papers from the collection to decide which looked best. I decided on Pie Spice. This was pretty, but I wanted to add more contrast so I added Clear Magic Days Newsprint over half of the card base. The clear sheets are wonderful because you can see the pattern paper underneath them.
The vellum leaves are soft and translucent so where they overlap it makes a new color! Vellum can be tricky to adhere because the adhesive typically shows through the vellum. Adhering the leaves under the die cut sentiment was a great way to hide the adhesive. The fun die cut sentiment is from the Beautiful Colors Die Cut pack.
I can't resist adding some sequins - not only do they add some sparkle and shine - they add more color making this a feast for the eyes. There are lots of different sequins in the shop so you're sure to find something that matches with any collection you adore. I've actually added four different colors of sequins to this card. I think the different colors and sizes draw your eye around the entire card design.
The Indian Summer collection is a real treat! You'll love making with all the different embellishments and images available in this collection!
