Tupelo Designs LLC - Yummy Croissants!

Now doesn't this look yummy?   What  a nice way to start your Friday Morning!    Today I'm posting for Tupelo Designs LLC !  They're my favorite shop and today I'm playing with the Hero Arts Color Layering Croissants!

I mean come on!  How often do you get to play with your food?  These images look so realistic!    I wanted to put them on a lacy table cloth so I created a background with the Tim Holtz Doily Layering Stencil.
I used a Clarity Stencil Brush to get in the small areas of the design and give a soft even coverage without damaging the stencil.   My quest for The Clarity Stencil Brushes were how I found Tupelo Designs to start with.   They were in stock at the right price and the FREE delivery was fast.  I have one brush for every color family (pinks, reds, yellows, etc.) and I reach for the OFTEN!
I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Tuxedo Black and then adhered the stamped die cut images with adhesive foam tape.
I don't have many Hero Arts inks, and wasn't sure how well they would layer so I used Altenew ink.  They layered beautifully and the color is exceptional!

Sorry, I couldn't resist adding one more photo.. are you hungry yet?    Looks good enough to eat!  LOL!
All the products I used today are from Tupelo Designs LLC! I was a customer before I joined their design team! I love the different products available from lots of my favorite brands. I like that there is free shipping EVERY DAY with NO COUPON REQUIRED (USA only - International orders are discounted) and the excellent packaging. It's always a treat to receive a package from them. I hope you give Tupelo Designs LLC a try! I think you'll be glad you did! It's a nice way to treat yourself. Click here to jump to the store.

Have a great weekend!

CAS-Fridays New Release - Joy

It's Day 3 of our CAS-ual Fridays Stamps October Release! We've got 4 new stamp sets to show you! We've been featuring one set a day starting October 18. Today we're showing the new JOY stamp set!
Pretty right? I love the snowflakes that replace the letter "O" in the sentiments!
I stamped the "Joy" sentiment with a Kaleidacolor ink pad. It provides the perfect ombre blend from pink to purple. I fussy cut the sentiment and set it aside.

For the background panel I stamped snowflakes from the set with the same Kaleidacolor ink pad - pink snowflakes on the left, purple snowflakes on the right. Next I found similar colors of distress ink - Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet. I distressed the edges, splattered with water, and then splattered with white ink.

I added a bit of gold twine - I made circles by wrapping the twine around my fingers. I attached the joy sentiment with adhesive foam tape that I set over the twine. The tape holds both the sentiment and the twine in place.
A scatter of gold enamel dots adds more sparkle and shine.

Freshly Made Sketches - Fall Birthday

I hope you're having a great day!  I know I've been quiet lately.  There's lots of things I'm working on - some new releases coming up from Reverse Confetti, Pretty Pink Posh and Poppystamps.    So lots of good things coming your way soon!

DH has been working ALOT!  That's great for my crafty diversions but I really miss him.   He does construction work and with winter coming he doesn't want to pass up on any opportunities.  Things slow down  in the winter and we never take income for granted.

Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I love a sketch challenge.  For me it helps take some of the guesswork out of designing.    I made a fall birthday card with supplies from Reverse Confetti.

I saw the smaller circle in the sketch as the perfect place for a sentiment.  The larger circle on the sketch became a floral wreath (Reverse Confetti Fall For You).

There's lots of images in the stamp set to choose from.. .flowers, fronds, and leaves so you can embellish it however you like in whatever colors you love.  I kept with fall oranges, yellows and red.  The Double Edge Scallop Border  Confetti Cut in orange adds some color and repeats the scallop pattern on the sentiment matt background.

The papers are from the Every Little Bit 6" pad, and the sprinkle of sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

Wishing you sunshine and happy days!

CAS-Fridays New Release - Bomb Diggity

I'm so excited to share the new CAS-ual Fridays Release with you! There are four new stamp sets that you're going to love. We started showing peeks yesterday, revealing one stamp set a day. Today we're showing the new Bomb Diggity set!
This set has lots of fun sentiments! I couldn't resist working with the "Bomb Diggity" sentiment.. but how to dress it up?
With a bomb of course! LOL! I started with a circle die cut big enough to fit the sentiment inside. Next I die cut it from a panel of paper to use as a mask. I inked up the circle with Worn Lipstick, Barn Door and Aged Mahogany.
I gave it some time to dry before stamping the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I used a stamping tool so I could stamp it several times to get a nice dark impression on the red bomb.
The fuse was created with the Ornament Tag Fri Dies, and the light at the end is layered Funky Flakes Fri Dies in orange red and yellows.

A scatter of colorful sequins is the finishing touch!

Pretty Little Studio - Spooky Spider

I confess I am completely addicted to the Pretty Little Studio Goosebumps Collection. Halloween is my favorite holiday and this set is my absolute favorite this year! I love the fresh take on the traditional orange and black. The addition of navy and baby blue are stunning along with the cool prints.
I usually start a card by deciding what images I want to work with. For this one I focused on the large spider, and web die cuts from Spooktastic and "Spooky" sentiment from Thriller. I lay these on a piece of clear plastic the same size as a card base and experiment with what papers to put behind the images. I look for contrast and colors that compliment the images.
Next for embellishing the layout. I added some Scaredy Cat Cut Apart Circles. These are 1" circles printed 15 on a sheet that you cut out with a hole punch. The card stock is a nice weight, easy enough to punch, but still strong enough to hold it's own when adhered with adhesive foam tape. The repeated spider web pattern in the spider, and all the word die cuts helps tie the images together.
Costume Party word stickers are easy to incorporate into any design you make with the collection. The sheet includes 46 different sentiments in an assortment of colors that match the collection perfectly.
This collection is so fun and festive that the card itself will make a nice decoration for the recipient to display! I hope you make something beautiful today!

CAS-Fridays New Release - WTF2

The wait is over! There's a new CAS-ual Fridays release of four brand new stamp sets! The design team is sharing peeks of each set for the next four days (October 18-21). Today we're showing the new WTF2 stamp set.

Every time I see WTF I think of Phil Dunphy on Modern Family saying how hip and cool he is as he explains that WTF means "Why The Face". I think CAS-ual Fridays Stamps creator Michele has a sense of humor too!
Smiling now?
This is a very clean card! I stamped the sentiment in the center of my card stock and then filled in the rest by repeatedly stamping the graphic from Bold Wishes in blues and greens. I though this would be a great unisex card.
The WTF letters are open so you can custom color them as you like to personalize your card. I thought the card needed a little more "flash" so I added some glitter tape above and below the sentiment to define the edges, and some silver enamel dots.
