CAS-Fridays New Release - WTF2

The wait is over! There's a new CAS-ual Fridays release of four brand new stamp sets! The design team is sharing peeks of each set for the next four days (October 18-21). Today we're showing the new WTF2 stamp set.

Every time I see WTF I think of Phil Dunphy on Modern Family saying how hip and cool he is as he explains that WTF means "Why The Face". I think CAS-ual Fridays Stamps creator Michele has a sense of humor too!
Smiling now?
This is a very clean card! I stamped the sentiment in the center of my card stock and then filled in the rest by repeatedly stamping the graphic from Bold Wishes in blues and greens. I though this would be a great unisex card.
The WTF letters are open so you can custom color them as you like to personalize your card. I thought the card needed a little more "flash" so I added some glitter tape above and below the sentiment to define the edges, and some silver enamel dots.

Tupelo Designs LLC - Autumn Leaves

Fall is in the air!  The farm stands are open along the road sides with colorful mums and pumpkin assortments, corn stalks, Indian corn, and bayles of hay! We got a nice bunch of assorted gourds and they're proudly on display in a basket on the kitchen table!

Today I'm playing with the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf.  This set came out last year I believe, but it's a favorite of mine.  If you use a stamping tool you can stamp lots of these in different colors like I did!  You can make a whole stack so quickly you might want to make a gift set for a teacher or friend.

I used a fancy stitched die to cut the panel to add a little detail.  This one is from Avery Elle, but you can find them in other brands like My Favorite Things and Waffle Flower (both at Tupelo Designs LLC).

These leaves look gorgeous in every color imaginable!   I added some enamel dots and a colored card stock matt behind the panel to add more color.

One more picture of the orange so you can see them together.
Want to go shopping? You'll find all your favorites at Tupelo Designs LLC. I used to shop directly from the manufacturers store, trying to get my cart up to the level for free shipping, and spending much more than I had anticipated. Shopping at Tupelo Designs LLC allows me to buy from several brands (like Reverse Confetti, Concord &9th, Altenew, My Favorite Things, Penny Black and more) and there is FREE SHIPPING every day (USA only - International is discounted). I earn reward points that add up to savings on future orders, and I can always find a sale! I hope you will give them a try. Click here to jump to the store.

Tag You're It! Happy Haunting!

Yayyy! It's Friday! I'm ready for the weekend! How about you? A new challenge starts today at Tag You're It so if you find some time to play this is the challenge for you!
Here's the inspiration tag this time from our featured artist Marcia Hill! Check it out.. what do you love? I love the sky blue background, stitched tag, and how that little leaf is floating down to meet the girl with the rake! I've been doing a little raking of my own lately and just when you think you're done.. they just keep falling from the trees!

I never want to copy anything too closely.. I try to focus on what I love best and just run with it. This time I kept the cloudy sky but turned it to PURPLE for a spooky night!
I inked up the clouds in Shaded Lilac Distress ink on a white card stock panel. Next I die cut the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 tag from the inky panel.
I stamped the sentiment from Halloween Friends and the bat in Tuxedo Black. The bat takes the place of the falling leave in the inspiration photo. A scatter of sequin stars is the finishing touch!
I sure hope you join us at Tag You're It! Challenge. We Love to see what you make, and I really LOVE to see all the different ways one image can inspire us all! Feeling like you need a little more inspiration? Head on over to the blog (click here) to see more from the design team and to link up your own design!

Fusion Card Challenge - Striped Wreath

I hope you're having a great week!  I'm playing along with Fusion Card Challenge today!  We've got a brand new challenge for you that I hope you'll love!

This one is called Striped Wreath!   Do you love the whimsical striped wreath?  It reminds me of the stockings they always put on witches!   How about that silvery skull?  I'm loving that poofy lime green ribbon!

Not feeling it?  I had to do some digging for a skull die.. maybe you don't have one?  That's ok.. just work with the sketch!     If you're feeling really clever you can work with the sketch AND the inspiration photo TOGETHER!

I found my skull die, and debated about how to make that wreath when it occurred to me that I had a wreath cover plate from Taylored Expressions.    I kept the black and white.. no stripes (sorry!). but still black and white!
I added accents in lime green like the "spooky" double cut sentiment, and some enamel dots.

It's been a while since I've made a poofy bow.. remember when that was all the rage? They're still so beautiful.. not so mailable so this one will be hand delivered with some treats.
Now it's your turn! Needing a little more inspiration? The Fusion Card Challenge Design Team has you covered. Click here to jump to the challenge page where you can find lots of samples from the rest of the team and link up your own design!

Pretty Little Studio - Pinterest Inspired Goosebumps

I hope you're having a great day! Maybe you're thinking about putting together some Halloween cards for your favorite boys and ghouls but don't know where to start. Some days the inspiration doesn't come easy! Pretty Little Studio to the rescue with our Tuesday Pinterest photo! Here's the photo for today to get your adrenaline pumping!
This is creepy (not a big fan of spiders here!) and beautiful at the same time. I love the lacy look of the web and the contrast of the black and white on soft watercolor. Here's what I made!
I started with a background of papers from the Goosebumps Collection. The Pumpkin Guts pattern is a distress painted background that reminded me of the watercolor in the inspiration, and the Scaredy Cat graph paper has lots of linear lines like a web. The focal point or "canvas" for my design is a Creepy Crawly 3 x 4" Journaling card (it says Goosebumps in jumbled letters).
I embellished this card with lots of circle elements that you can find throughout the collection. The Cut Aparts are quickly becoming a favorite of mine - they are easy to cut using a 1" punch and they are very affordable. The Happy Halloween and cat are from the Scaredy Cat Cut Aparts, the skull and spider are from the Witch's Brew Die Cuts, and the flair is from the Boo Ya 6-Pack.
More circles repeated in the design are sequins in Breezy blue and Crystal 4mm. That cool photo corner die cut is also from the Witch's Brew die cut pack.
"A Haunting We Will Go" is from the Costume Party Word Sticker Sheet. There's lots of great words/ sentiments on this sheet in a rainbow of colors that perfectly match the colors in the collection.
I hope this got your wheels spinning with wonderful ideas for your Halloween creations!

Reverse Confetti October Blog Hop!

Are you hopping with Reverse Confetti today?  We hop on the 8th of every month!  We alternate with a new release every other month.   This month we're focusing on products you might already have to share ideas on fun things to make and give you a chance to add to your collection!  If you're hopping along you should have reached me from Deanne Kuntz's blog.  If you'd like to start from the beginning you can get all the details here at the Reverse Confetti Blog

There's no particular theme today.. we're just playing with some of our favorites.  Halloween is my favorite holiday so I thought I'm make something SPOOKY!  LOL!
I thought it would be funny to have two scary creatures afraid of each other.   Here's my Monsterous Monster trick or treating...

He's afraid of the Halloween Bits ghost at the top of the page.. and she's so afraid of him that she's dropped all her candy!

The candy is raining down the Boo To You Circle so Look Out Below!!!

Treats are always welcome this time of year.. much better than tricks right?

You can fill lots of the Bitty Window Bags and decorate them for the whole class in a pinch.  I love the zip lock close and the little grove cut in the top perfect for wrapping twine around.  The Haunt It sentiment is stamped on a Tangerine cardstock tag from Tag Duo.   The little ghost in Iced Aqua is from Halloween Bits Confetti Cuts.
The next stop on this hop is my sweet friend Laurie Schmidlin!  But before you go please leave me a comment.  There's some candy up for grabs and if you don't comment you'll never win!
Here's the complete hop list for today!
