Tupelo Designs LLC has lots of my favorite brands - Concord & 9th, Waffle Flower, My Favorite Things, Altnew and LOTS more! Today I'm playing with Neat and Tangled from the shop. This stamp is called Hello Winter.
I inked up the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black on Tim Holtz watercolor paper. Next I inked up the panel with Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac and Seedless Preserves. I splattered the panel with water, and some watered down Seedless Preserves.
I die cut the panel with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches die. It adds a pretty detailed stitch along the edges and cuts the panel to the perfect size for mounting on an A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5"). The Hello Winter die cut contains an outline as well as a detailed word die that says "winter". I cut the larger outline / background from the water color panel, and then adhered the more intricate word die over the die cut background.

Fusion Card Challenge - Coffee and a Book

Are you keeping warm? Just looking out the window gives me a shiver lately! Winter is my favorite time for crafting.

Maybe you're looking for a challenge to play? Check out the newest challenge that starts today at Fusion Card Challenge

The inspiraiton photo is all warm and cozy isn't it? Getting comfortable in your favorite chair with a warm blanket, a good book and your favorite cuppa!

Not loving the photo? That's ok.. just work off the sketch.

I tried to FUSE them together this time - using inspiration from the photo and following the layout of the sketch.
I created a warm background of browns (I know unusual for me). The pattern of the Drop Cover Panel gives the look of a knit blanket.
I used the Reverse Confetti Caffeinated Cups as my focal point. The Thanks Tag makes a nice solid matt for the cup, sentiment and Wreath die cut. I added a Hang Ups and a little heart from XOXO Hearts to cover the hole.
Now it's your turn! Still not feeling inspired? Check out designs from the rest of the team here on the Fusion Card Challenge Blog! They're sure to get your creativity flowing!

Freshly Made Sketches - Love and Hugs

I hope life's treating you good! I got up early this morning to do lots of errands.. the usual.. post office, bank, grocery store.. get a pet licence for Miss Moriko. I got home, started the laundry, did a little dinner prep... and was happy to find I had a little time to make something too!
Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches. This one came together quick.. maybe because they have done all the work for me. I kept the heart shape in the sketch so all I had to do was assemble it.
I started this card with a pink background created with the Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges die. I love that the die cuts lock together for a nice smooth card front.. and oooh the pretty scallops and stitching!
The "Love Shaker" die is a fancy stitched heart with a "Love" sentiment running through the center.
The new Cupid Friends are just adorable. They're very easy to color and of course there is a coordinating die set. The "hugs to you" sentiment comes from the Birdie Friends stamp set.
Have a great day and stay warm!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps - Coffee Time!

Are you a coffee lover? You need to check the latest CAS-ual Fridays Stamps release! There are 5 new coffee themed stamp sets and two new die sets. You can see them all here
I started soft Tumbled Glass distress ink background and then stamped a border of the word "coffee" from the Coffee Talk stamp set. I used a stamp tool so I could ink the image several times and keep it nice and straight along the edge of the front panel.
A stamped a sentiment on the To Go Cup Fri Die that I cut from kraft and wood veneer. The "coffee" word die is from the Coffee Cup Fri Die set. I LOVE the font - and it's exactly the same size as the "coffee" word stamp.
I added a few embellishments - some twine and a bitty flower to finish things off. It looks like it's going to be a great day!

Want to go shopping? If you see something you like I hope you will use my special discount code. You'll save 15% off your ENTIRE order - sale items included! Tupelo Designs LLC - Under The Sea

Happy Friday! I've been waiting all week for today! LOL! It's cold and windy here - my favorite time of year to craft. I can imagine I'm anywhere - in a field of flowers, or today, under the sea! I love shopping at Tupelo Designs LLC because I always find something fun and fresh to work with.
I don't know about you but I am totally addicted to layered stamps. The double stamping brings flat images to life. This is the Hero Arts Color Layering Octopus stamp set.
For this card I started with a simple watercolor background. I painted Salty Ocean Distress Ink on Ranger Watercolor Paper. It's the same as the Tim Holtz watercolor paper, but a little better value if you cut it to size yourself.   I like painting with the Distress reinkers - because they're already liquid (vs. standard watercolors) they blend easier.
Hero Arts has wonderful layering inks, but I used Altenew ink. This is what I have in my stash and they are designed for layering too.
Tupelo Designs LLC is my favorite store because I can always find several of my favorite brands all in the same place. I never have trouble filling up my cart LOL! They carry Hero Arts, Altenew, Concord & 9th, My Favorite Things, Lawn Fawn, Reverse Confetti, Avery Elle, and so many more! They run sales several times a year and the very best part? Shipping is ALWAYS FREE - no coupon required (USA ONLY - discounted rates overseas).
I always feel like I got the very best name brands I want, at a fair price delivered straight to my door. It's a great way to treat yourself! Want to go shopping? Click here to jump to the store.
