This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Simple Stories Open Road Collection. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, and lots more! Everything is hand selected with care and perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!

I love that the kits are selected with the time of year in mind so that your favorite holidays and past times are covered. This month the theme is summer appropriate with a travel theme. Lots of us travel this time of year when the kids are out of school, and the kit is ideal for not just cards, but for documenting memories.

The fresh mix of pastels and bold jewel tones is really eye catching and appealing. The different elements include roadmaps, restaurant receipts, license plates, bottle caps, graph paper and everything road trip related.

They've even thought of different destinations - like desert and wilderness campgrounds for some of the elements. You'll find different stop off elements as well - snacks from the gas station, or diner.

There are plenty of sentiments to choose from including stickers, and some of the die cuts. I tried to incorporate as many of the images as I could, but I left a whole bunch behind! I'm saving those for other projects.

My favorite 12" page from Simple Stories is always the Journal Elements sheet. It has several different cut apart journaling cards perfect for creating focal points for your designs.

Another repeating element in this kit is the butterflies - you'll find them in the papers, die cuts, stickers, and more. And there are lots of arrows to keep you pointed in the right direction!

This collection celebrates summer! You'll find sweet cool treats, and juicy fruits. Images take you from picnics to poolside and the beach.

The prints are rainbow bright plaids, stripes, gingham, flowers, butterflies, cherries and everything summer!

The first thing I do is go through the images in the kit. I turn stickers into die cuts by adding a bit of baby powder to the adhesive backs. That way I can take my time before adhering them in place. I separate images that go together. In this case it was a pile for beach, another for cool treats, picnic supplies, and finally a shady house scene.

Everything is hand selected with care and perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!

The theme this month is summer inspired.. think butterflies and flowers, as well as refreshing lemons, strawberries and cool drinks.

The papers in this kit are plaids, gingham, dots, and florals in rainbow colors of Red, Pink, Creamy Orange, Yellow, Green and Aqua. There's a pop of black in accents and sentiments that adds great contrast.

I had fun arranging the different elements. I usually group them together to fit a common theme - like the card above I wanted to look like butterflies in a meadow, and the card below with the fresh lemons and the pitcher of lemonade.

When I have my layout decided I'll try to go in and add a few more pieces like the flowers and the butterfly on this card.

Everything you see on my cards is included in the kit EXCEPT for the white cardstock card bases, solid cardstock cover matts, adhesives and enamel dots. Things that you already probably have in your stash right now.
