Candy Cane Seasons Greetings

I hope you're having a great day! Today I'm sharing a beautiful holiday card made with the Pretty Little Studio Candy Cane Collection!

This card starts with a patterned paper background that I topped with a floral arrangement. To create a focal point I layered light grid pattern paper over a piece of darker dotted paper. To help with placement I lay all the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of the card base.

Some of the images are adhered with adhesive foam tape, like the big red flower so I could tuck other elements underneath.

Some holiday elements are mixed in with the florals - a candy cane, string of beads and an ornament.

The finishing touch is always a sprinkle of gems for some sparkle and shine! I hope you're smiling!

Sprinkled With Love

Today I'm playing at A Cut Above where ANYTHING GOES but you better include some die cuts because that's the name of the game!

I need a pick me up today so I'm having a sugar rush of DONUTS from Pink & Main. The Box Of Donuts comes with the donuts and different ways to cut them so you can take a bite out of one. You can add drippy glaze, sprinkles, or pipe on some stripes!

The "box" covers an A2 size card base, and the die set has two different sentiments that fit across the bottom of the box to choose from. .."Donuts" and Bagels".

The stamped sentiment added along the top edge is from the Donut Forget stamp set. I added holographic paper under the donuts for some sparkle and shine!

Take a break and make it all!

Waffle Flower May Release & Giveaway!

It's official! The latest Waffle Flower Crafts release is available in the store NOW! We're calling this one Under the Sea for obvious reasons! LOL!

I've had fun making with this release with lots of different style backgrounds including alcohol, distress, and today's plain cardstock to create fun scenes!

I used the older "waves" die cuts to create a sea floor and then added lots of seaweed, shells, coral and fish in bright colors.

Next comes the Happy Submarine that is SO EASY TO ASSEMBLE! Just stack the pieces for a layered look.

The finishing touch is a school of fish with silly eyes and some clear enamel dot bubbles.

Waffle Flower May Release Sneak Peeks Day 3 - Waving Hello

It's the third and final day of the sneak peeks of the Waffle Flower May Release. Tomorrow all the new products hit the store and we'll be celebrating with lots of giveaways on Instagram! Today my focus is the Happy Lobster die set.

This little guy is super cute and so easy to assemble. This is a two layer die set. I cut the bottom layer in dark red and topped it with light red cardstock. The top layer lets darker spots from the bottom layer to show through.

I cut two and put one along the top edge, and one along the bottom edge. The background is just 3/4" cut stripes that I adhered together on a panel. Stripes always have me thinking seaside!

I couldn't resist adding silly eyes that move when you move and some clear enamel "bubbles",

The sentiment is from the Bubbly Sentiments set and there is a coordinating die set to make cutting a snap. I love the mixed font that gives this a really casual look.

Waffle Flower May Release Sneak Peeks Day 2 - Sending Oceansized Hugs

It's day 2 of the sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Crafts release that we're calling Under The Sea! Today we're looking at the newest stencils.

This is the Postage Collage Under The Sea stencil set that I inked with Distress Inks on a panel of white paper. I topped the panel with the Postage Collage Blocks die to frame each of the scenes.

The background is a panel that was inked with stripes using the Postage Collage Coloring stencil. I inked in light and dark blue to coordinate with the blues in the scenes. The panel was cut with an A2 Piercing Rectangle die to add a little more detail.

The sentiment is from the new Bubbly Sentiment stamp set that works well with all the underwater images from the new release.

I added some enamel dots to the submarine windows, and some clear enamel dot "bubbles" to the rest of the scene.

Waffle Flower May Release Sneak Peeks Day 1

Thanks for stopping by! It's a great day for a visit because it's the first day of new release sneak peeks of the Waffle Flower May release. We're calling this one Under The Sea because it's filled with underwater inspiration!

Today I'm playing with the new Happy Seals. This set includes two seals that are easy to assemble... just stack the cuts and watch the spotted seal come to life. Of course there is a fun Seal-A-Brate punny stamp set to coordinate with the cute seals too!

This release also incudes fish, coral, underwater landscapes, seaweed and more so you can create lots of underwater scenes.

It's time to star playing with making some fun underwater backgrounds too. For this release I've created backgrounds with alcohol ink, Distress Oxides, and solid cardstock papers so you'll see a variety of ways to make with this release.

The Under the Sea die set includes an underwater "shelf" that I flipped on it's side for a seafloor. The seashells are from the Happy Turtles die set.

You're The Best

It's FRIDAY!!! We made it through the week! And it's been a long one for me! Glad to take a crafty break and play along at I Spy With My Little Eye! This time they're looking for Spring Flowers! I love flowers so of course I want to play!

These florals are from the Pretty Pink Posh Floral Wreath Builder. They're pretty "as is" in a single layer, or over the top pretty layered!

I arranged mine in the Floral Vase Shaker and added a sentiment from the Friend Greetings Stamp Set. I love that it fussy cuts all the letters!

That background is cut with the Scalloped Pierced Plate. It cuts tiny dots into the paper.. just enough to let a tiny bit of the background show through. The finishing touch is to adhere some gems to the flower centers. I was tempted to do them all but decided that just three would make those pop.

I hope this weekend gives you time to relax and unwind and maybe a little crafty time for you too!
