RCSFYTT - Woodland Butterfly

Happy May! Every time I flip over the calendar to a new month  I start to think about what the month signifies.. . warmer weather.. flowers for Mom!  Happy Mother's Day!,  and at the end of the month Memorial Day which always seems to mean the beginning of summer for me!

The beginning of the month also means a new challenge for you at Reverse Confetti!  Here's the May Sketch For You To Try!   #SFYTT  I know it might look a little tricky.. those boxes don't have to be boxes, they can be anything so keep an open mind!    And if you play along that means  you're entered to win a prize too!

You can always find the latest challenge on the Reverse Confetti blog by clicking on the challenge badge in the right column.

I decided to turn the square in the sketch into butterflies and flowers because that's what May has me thinking about!

I stamped the butterflies from Butterfly Dream stamp set with Kaleidacolor ink to achieve the ombre effect.  I used a stamping tool to stamp it multiple times for a crisp dark image.
I followed the sketch breaking my background papers into two.  For the thin strip on the sketch I used the Double Edge Scallop Border.  I wrapped natural twine around the card and finished with a bow over the border.

The pretty flower is from Blooms 'n Buds.  I stamped it in blue to contrast with the red/orange/pink of the butterflies.

Are you ready to play?  You can find samples from the design team and link up your projects on the Reverse Confetti Blog!  We'd love to see your designs!

Wonderful spring card! Love the woodgrain and the bright colors! Lots of rain here so our plants are super happy and lush. And the birds are amazing--15 species in our yard today!

Can you say absolutely gorgeous?? The ombré butterflies are glorious, the large orange butterfly is awesome, I don't have any kaleidoscope ink but I love how crisp the image is and saturation--oh my! Thanks for the eye candy!!
