Tupelo Designs LLC - Go With The Flow

Happy Friday!  I hope you're having a great day and counting down the hours to the weekend!  My weekend starts early today!  Mr. J has the day off so I'm hoping we can do something together just the two of us.   Last week we went to lunch and a movie - we saw Guardians of the Galaxy. The sound track was a flash back to our '70's childhoods and gosh!  was Groot ever adorable! 

I'm starting to day dream about vacations to tropical places.. maybe a sandy beach?  I Richard is reading this .. I blame you!

I started with a background of Distress Ink.  I put some Mustard Seed spots in the middle of the paper, and then added Mermaid Lagoon around the edges.  Where they meet it turns a pretty shade of green.  Next I splattered the paper with water.  When that was dry I splattered some white ink.   This is the same way I make a space background - I just use different colors of ink.

I decided to make a shaker card creating a frame with the My Favorite Things  Stitched Oval Frames.  The clear sequins look like sunlight reflecting under water.

I stamped all the Altenew Painted Jellyfish with Altenew ink.  The ink is specifically designed to be layered and they have several shades of each color making it easy to select the right ink to stamp each layer with.   A tip if this set is new for you.... make sure you align the second layer stamp with the die cut.  I missed that on my first go round and had to stamp them all again.  The die is detailed and longest part of the image (the lightest color) needs to be stamped in just the right place.

The stamp set even has a few sentiments like this fun "go with the flow".  I'm certain I don't want to meet up with a jellyfish any time soon, but they really are beautiful floating on my card aren't they?  LOL
