Waffle Flower Challenge - Fall Favorites

Are you looking for a challenge to play today? Check out the Waffle Flower Monthly Challenge! This month we're celebrating Fall Favorites. What do you love most about Fall? The color? The Leaves? The PUMPKIN PIE?!!! Don't get me started! I love it all - it's the smell of cinnamon and clove and the warmth of home when a chill is in the air.

There is just so much to choose from that make Fall extraordinary. To keep it interesting we're providing a "mini theme" every week. It's just a different twist on the monthly theme - a way to inspire you and give you ideas for different ways to play along. I've got two friends joining me: Lisa Elton (My Paper Tales) and Kelly Schirmer (Gingham Girl) !! And we want you to make a project with some FALL CRITTERS! Aren't they a hoot!!

I love the cute little mice series at Waffle Flower from Liz Mytinger. There are lots to choose from for just about every season and occasion.. I love these with their coffee cups and pumpkin suits!

My cards always start with everything laid out on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card front. That way I can pick up the arrangement and slide it over different backgrounds to help me deice what colors work best and where to add the sentiment.

I decided on a simple distress ink background in Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar. This allows the cute images to take center stage. Some of the elements are adhered flat to the card while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.
