Tag You're It Cherry Blossom Thank You Tag

I hope you're having a great day! The first thing I to do every morning (whether I feel like it or not) is take the dog for a walk. Sometimes I'm cranky and feeling put out... I mean some days it feels like the dog is in charge! But after walking about a block or so I start looking around and start taking in the scenery! Sometimes I see the funniest things. The other day I saw a squirrel run up a tree (hard to miss with Miss Moriko going after the poor thing).. but he quickly ran back down and was chased by two Robins. I'm guessing they had a nest in that tree. Never mess with the momma!
A new challenge begins today at TAG YOU'RE IT Challenge Blog!   We've got a beautiful design from Lindsey our Featured Artist to inspire you!    I LOVE flowers so you know I'm inspired by this pretty tag!  I love the stamped tulips, the pop of color repeated throughout the design and the fun word die that layers over the stamped images.  

Here's my take on Lindsey's tag!  This pretty tag is inspired by the beautiful flowering trees in the neighborhood. They don't have much of a fragrance, but when the wind blows they shower you with little petals!

I stamped floral branches from the Friends and Flowers clear stamp set with Memento ink and then colored them with copic markers. I always put a sheet of watercolor paper under my paper I'm coloring to absorb any extra ink that seeps out the back. It helps prevent bleeding when you're coloring. I kept a Tunnel Tag die close by to help me determine the placement of the stamped images.

The Spectacular Thank You die has there layers. I used only two (the largest and smallest in the set). I adhered the sentiment with adhesive foam tape between the branches.

I couldn't resist adding a pretty eyelet from the Stitched Annaleigh Tag Decorations - the scallops and stitches make this even more feminine.

A second tag cut from soft pink, some twine, and a sprinkle of sequins adds more color and completes this pretty tag. It's going to dress up a simple gift for a special someone!
