There's lots of ways to make your own background but I think color block is my favorite. Color block is also a great way to show off your die cuts - which are my favorite craft item.
I started my card with a panel of colorful Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Stripes in rainbow colors. I have two sets of this die and cut LOTS of stripes at one time. I always use wax paper because it helps release the paper from the stitches in the die.
I use double sided tape sheets to create the panel making it easier to trim it to the right size when I'm ready. The tape keeps the strips in place as if it was one sheet.
I added Scallop Square Frames and a yummy cake in the center of the design. The finishing touch is a simple "wish" sentiment.
Finished Size: 4" Square

I like that you left the cake and frames white with all of those fun colors popping all around them! Fabulous card, Jeanne!
