Unicorns and Rainbows

Hi friends! Have you noticed there's some new dies in the Poppystamps store? I think my favorite this release is the new Whittle Unicorn! Isn't it ADORABLE? You'll love all the new designs that you can see here!

The mane and little horn are separate dies so you can cut them from different material if you like. I double cut the mane to add a layer of gold glitter for some sparkle and shine.

What goes perfect with unicorns? A rainbow of course! I divided the width of my card (5.25") by the number of stripes I needed to fill the panel with hearts (6) and came up with 0.875". I cut the strips slightly smaller than 1" wide and then adhered them together on their reverse side. I trimmed the assembled panel to fit my card front and adhered it to the card base. 

I adhered the hanging hearts at various lengths at the seam where the color block strips meet. The background colors are softer shades of the brights inside the die cut hearts.

What I love most about crafting is that I can make a special card for all the one of a kind people in my life. I think I know a princess that might like this one.
