Pretty Little Studio - Make Yesterday Jealous!

Hi and thanks for stopping by! Today I'm sharing an inspirational card made with the Pretty Little StudioShine Bright Collection. I love this collection of soft pastel watercolor look collection with accents in deep navy. It's absolutely romantic. 

The focal point of my card is a Be Loved die cut tag that I adhered a Be Loved clear sentiment sticker to. The clear stickers have great sentiments in navy and allow the background papers to peek through.. almost as if you had written on the tag yourself! 

I embellished the tag with Simply Floral die cut flowers and a pretty blue butterflies from the Chasing Dreams pack. 

A sprinkle of sequins always makes me happy with just the right amount of sparkle and shine!

Fusion Card Challenge - Triangles

I spy a neutral scene with pops of gold and pink.. geometric shapes.. squares, rectangles, and triangles. Not loving the photo? That's ok.. join us by playing with the sketch! If you're feeling really craftsy FUSE the two together! 

Here's what I made! I focused on the carpet in the photo with the triangle pattern. I used Birch Press Design's Prismatic Triangle Layers cut in black, gold and white to create a shaker card.

I added a touch of pink filling in one of the triangles with a Tall Triangles die cut from rose paper. I added more pinks in the shaker mix you can see in the open windows of the triangle die cut. I cut a few extra triangles to fill the open white spaces and add more interest to the design.

A simple Big Lingo Hello die cut repeats the clean lines of the layered triangles.

I'll Stop The World and Melt With You

I hope you are staying cool! Seriously is there anything better than a frozen treat on a hot summer day?

Today I'm playing with the Sugar Pea Designs Summer Scoops stamp set! This set includes LOTS of solid double stamp images so there's no coloring involved. Each treat is stamped first with a light shade of ink and the accents are added with a darker shade of the same color. I used a stamp tool so I could double stamp the images and get lots of color! 

The set even includes frozen pops, soft serve swirls, a cone, wood sticks, sundae toppings and a maraschino cherry! YUM! The sweet sentiment is stamped on a Stitched Flag Sugar Cut and tucked under one of the cones. 

I layered the Geo Floral Panel over an ombre pink distress ink panel. I left lots of the die cut pieces in the center in place to create a solid background for the colorful die cuts. I thought it would look too "busy" if I popped them all out. I think the edges look like lace! 

I had lots of fun stamping in so many different colors and have lots left over for other projects. I still can't resist a rainbow of color that are a feast for my eyes.
