Peace on Earth

Are you getting excited as the holidays get closer? This time of year I always find myself reflecting on traditions and the little things that make the holidays special.

As a child my Grandmother's house at Christmas time was an absolute place of wonder. You'd find little surprises every place you would look - an elf on the cuckoo clock, ice skaters on a pond of mirror glass on the vanity, and my favorite... her three vintage angels with pretty pastel dresses on star shaped wood shelves. I am one of three sisters and each of the angels (we were told) represented one of us.
The Reverse Confetti Joyous Holiday stamp set with coordinating dies bring back those feelings of visiting my Grandmother's house and the way she made all of us feel extra special.

My card starts with The Starstruck Confetti Cut that I inked with Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink. I layered the inky panel over a piece of silver glitter cardstock. I love that sparkle and shine peeking through the die cut openings.

I adhered two wreaths in the center of the panel and then arranged the little Joyous Holiday angels on the panel. The angels are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension and to give the angels an appearance of flight.

I hope you feel inspired to revisit your own family traditions and all the special memories that make this time of year unlike any other.
