Tuesday Morning Sketches 163 - Welcome Fall

Tuesday Morning SketchesI hope everyone is having a great day!  I spent the morning making more peanut butter cookies.  My son has a pasta party tonight - all the rage with the high school runners.  They say they are getting together to eat pasta to carb up for the upcoming race but I know they are just getting together to socialize.  I think it makes their team strong and they are building bonds.  The host family provides the pasta, guests are asked to bring drinks, desert, or a salad/appetizer.  Well, my son is a junior this year and he got assigned desert.  He must have liked the cookies I made earlier in the week because he requested them again.  While I was at it I made an extra batch for my husband and his co workers who are working on a job close by.  I ran them out to the job site with some cold drinks  and everyone is happy.  Now it is time for me to take a break and craft!!!

I saw that Iwona Palamountain aka Chupa is Guest Designer this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches so I had to hop over and take a peek.  Check out this sketch .. looks like fun right?   The only additional requirement is that your card is Fall themed.  Well I'm sort of feeling the fall lately - with the cookie baking and all.  So here's what I came up with...

I die cut some fancy rectangles, and then topped them with squares of PP.  I stamped the sentiment on vellum with Staz On and placed it on top of the patterned paper to the color comes through.  I hope you have some time to play this week!  Have a beautiful day!

Fabulous card I have the Prairie Hill paper, they are so gorgeous. Those rectangles are so pretty, maybe a trip to Michael's to see if they have them.

What a fun sketch! Love the card you came up with for it. Such pretty little rectangles, and beautiful fall colors. How sweet of you to bring cookies to your husband and crew. I think the teams pasta dinner thing is a great idea , even if it is more to socialize.

Just gorgeous. Those fancy rectangles are really unique. How nice of you to bake and deliver. You will be needing a cape with a big 'S' on it, for Supermom!

Great sketch...love those colors, so bright. I really like how you rounded the top and scalloped the bottom of your panel. The romantic rectangles are perfect for this sketch...I really like those and am going to be looking them up as soon as I sign off here! Peanut butter cookies sound so good right now. I know what I will be making this weekend.
