The Next Chapter

It's back to school time and I'm starting to see school busses dropping off and picking up! That used to be the saddest week of the year for me. I loved summer and the adventures of seeing everything through the eyes of my children. They made every day extraordinary.

I'm playing along at the Try Stamping on Tuesday photo challenge! I love that cup of sharpened colored pencils - so tempting!! But you can play along with the sketch or mix them both together.

The latest Waffle Flower release is loaded with books - you'll find cute stamps like these kitties from the "A Little Help' stamp set as well as book mark, book, and book frame die cuts.

I was inspired by the colorful pencils so a rainbow stripe Distress Ink blended background seemed perfect.

The colorful layers also add dimension so the kitties don't look like they're floating in the air.

This card has a little dimension - all the images are adhered with adhesive foam tape.

Waffle Flower New Beginning

I'm getting inky today with another stencil card made with Waffle Flower's New Beginning stamp and stencil set. The stamp set incudes sentiments primarily for new years but there are a few inspirational as well referencing new beginnings.

I recommend and give all credit for my clean lines to Thermoweb Pixie Spray light tack adhesive for securing stencil for a clean ink every time.

I used sticky tape to mask the top of the design and splatter only the bottom of the design to give the waves a sparkly look.
  

I think just about any sentiment would look amazing over the sunrise/sunset on this stencil design.

So smooth and flat!

I hope you're having a beautiful day! In my crafty world it's always bright and filled with whimsy and color. I love the Pretty Little Studio Tales and Dreams Collection because it always makes me smile!

I selected lots of blues from the collection for a mostly monochrome card. A pattern paper background is topped with a blue frame, blue florals and even a blue sticker sentiment.

The watercolor look rainbow striped paper inside the instant photo frame is a piece of packaging from the die cuts. I love that even the packaging is reusable for your papercraft projects.

The florals are popped up with adhesive foam tape and the fronds and smaller florals are adhered flat tot he page. This adds some dimension and a fussy look to the design. The finishing touch is always sprinkle of shiny sequins!
