My Creative Scrapbook February 2022 Main Kit

I like to use journal elements to stack pretty embellishments on. The elements are usually solid colors which really helps make they stand out against the pattern paper backgrounds.

The florals are easy to arrange, and the pattern papers and accent die cuts are perfectly color coordinated to match for seamless designs.

From The Garden

Guess what? I found a new place to play! Have you discovered "The Flower Challenge"? I mean who doesn't love flowers? They're probably my favorite subject when paper crafting.

My card today features the Papertrey Ink From The Garden florals. These are triple stamped flowers. I used Altenew Inks because they have the best assortment of ombre colored inks out there. All the guess work and mixing and matching is done for you. The inks are available in beautiful colors but I love that they're "self healing" - what I mean by is that as they dry the color evens out ant they look smooth .. not splotchy - especially on solid stamps.

The florals are arranged on a die cut panel called Border Bling Flower Frame. I layered it over a distress ink panel in citrus shades.

The sweet sentiment is from the same stamp set as the flowers and is perfect for your sweetie or your best friend.

Fusion Card Challenge - Feathered Friends

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great day! A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge! It's a great place to play and you'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

You know me.. always attracted to what I see.. and I spy some GORGEOUS tropical birds. I confess I love watching the birds and they just don't get prettier than these! Maybe the photo isn't inspiring you? That's ok.. you can still play along with the sketch. And this time there is a THIRD way to play.. use the color chart and make it a color challenge!

My card starts with a rainbow Distress Oxide blended background for my colorful bird. This is the Papertrey Ink Feathered Friends 10 bird. I switched up the colors to make it a looker and am so happy with how it turned out.

The oval in the background is also from Papertrey Ink. Its the Shape Shifters Oval 1 and is so pretty and intricate. The white breaks up the background so the bird can take center stage.

The pretty die cut leaves are a Simon Says Stamp exclusive designed by Memory Box called Etched Laurel Leaves. The sentiment is from Waffle Flowers Essential Celebrations set. I love that the dies fussy cut out the words so they're not square. The finishing touch are some metallic gold pearls from Pretty Pink Posh.
