Countdown to Confetti Day 3 Better With Friends & Picnic Pals

It's the last day of the Countdown to Confetti Reverse Confetti March Release! All the products we've shown over the past few days will be available in the store TOMORROW.

Today we're showing peeks of the new Better with friends and Picnic Pals stamp sets with coordinating dies. And if you love bunnies you're going to love these!

My favorite type of card is one with a cute scene. I love that I can make a simple inky background and attach images and BAM! my card is done! I used Distress Oxide ink for the backgrounds of both of these and because it's a pigment ink, the blending is super easy.

I arrange my images on a piece of plastic the same size as my card base. This is so helpful in determining where the sentiment should go. Make sure your inky panel is dry before you add a sentiment. I like to use Versafine Onyx Black for sentiments. It's another pigment ink, so it sits on the surface of the paper.. it doesn't sink in.

Finally I adhere the images to the panel.. Some of them are adhered flat to the card surface while others are adhered with adhesive foam tape to add dimension.

The cute bunnies enjoying a beautiful spring day is so fun! I love the flower bunches, and attention to detail including the little butterfly and honey bee.

My second card is made with the Picnic Pals. The two bunnies are sitting under a tree on a pretty quilt blanket. They've got their basket of goodies and are surrounded by pretty florals.

This set has one floral bunch.. I stamped it a few times and accented different areas of the design with the florals.

Isn't that little ladybug the sweetest? You can put the slice of watermelon in the bunnies hands, but I assume he's a little like me.. animated when he's telling a story!

  

I added a die cut sunshine from the Over The Rainbow confetti cut set. It's a beautiful day!

Countdown To Confetti Day 2 Friendly Florals

Hi and thanks for stopping by! It's Day 2 in the Countdown to Confetti - Reverse Confetti March Release! The full reveal is on Tuesday, March 8 when all the products will be available in the store.

Today we're sharing peeks at the new Friendly Florals stamp set. It's got three pretty florals and a large sentiment.

My card starts with a Distress ink panel that's stamped with the large sentiment from the set in Versafine ink.

Do you like the dotted borders? They're from the new Dot to Dot stamp set that's free with a $60 purchase this release. I like the drama of the black stamping on the bright colored panel.

I colored the floral images with Copic markers and adhered them with adhesive foam tape.

The floral corner, small cluster, and daisy trio make this set really versatile for different layouts.

My second card today features the new Layered Mom & Frame die set. I stamped the Dot to Dot border in bright colors to compliment the colored florals and layered it behind the stitched frame.

 

The frame is the size of an A2 card. I made a card base that's slightly smaller to support the frame so it looks like a shaped card.

The "mom" die is a double cut - one is a background and one is a detailed word die cut. I didn't use the background die on my card. I double cut the detailed word die cut from light and dark purple to create more drama.

Thanks for stopping by! I’m sharing your daily dose of sunshine with the Simple Stories Full Bloom Collection! The long, cold winter has me daydreaming of Spring days and time spent in my garden so this collection has arrived at the perfect time!

I had to smile because I’ve been planning what to grow in the garden, and just received my order of seeds. Of course, there is still some time before I’ll be able to plant them, but it makes my heart happy to think of all different veggies and flowers I’ll grow.

This collection is a gardener’s dream! It’s got fantastic images with all the details.. seed packets, garden tools and of course a few garden critters too! I love the butterflies, ladybugs and little bees! Heck there’s even a garden chair to relax in when it’s time to take a break or just sit back and watch your garden grow.

This collection is loaded with images because you’ll find chipboard as well as printed die cut Bits and Pieces available in three different packs! Full Bloom Bits and Pieces includes a bicycle, wheelbarrow, bee hive, chairs, buckets and lots more. The Journal Bits & Pieces are perfect for handwritten sentiments and layering with tabs and labels, and the Floral Bits and Pieces features fun and bright colored flowers!

Your scenes will come together in a snap! Happy bees and smiling suns are only the beginning! This collection has beautiful embellishments including a 5 roll pack of washi in two different widths, enamel dots and decorative brads.

The collection is available in 12” and 6x8” papers. I used the 12” on my cards because I love the “extras” in the collection kit that include a sheet of journaling elements, tags, and journaling cards. The 12” pack also includes a sheet of stickers for even more images and lots of sentiments.

Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what image to put where on my design. I think I have the stickers out smarted. Instead of them sticking in place and tearing them when I change my mind.. I started putting baby powder on their adhesive backs. This allows me to move them around – just like the die cut bits and pieces – and then glue them in place when I’m ready.

To save money, I use a generic baby powder and a suitable tray from my recycle bin – a left over frozen dinner bowl, or other packaging material that’s disposable. I pour a small amount of powder in the tray.. just enough to cover the bottom and then just lay the sticker on top of the powder.
