Waffle Flower August Release Sneak Peeks Day 2

It's Day 2 of the sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. We're calling this release Summer Afternoon because it includes a mix of style from fluttering butterflies to tropical blooms!

Today we're going tropical! My card features the new Hibiscus Cluster Die! You can color it yourself with your favorite media or use the coordinating Hibiscus Cluster Stencil set! My son gifts me a Hibiscus plant every Mother's Day and I think these are just as pretty and Bonus.. I can ink them any color I like!

That amazing background is new too! These are two separate and completely stackable A2 size dies. The pierced layer is the Quatrefoil Texture die and is topped here with the outline in white called Quatrefoil Panel die.

The sentiment is a mixed font "Sending Hugs" from the Butterfly Trio stamp set. I'm in awe at the clean cuts around the letters that are more detailed than I'm used to seeing.

Waffle Flower August Release Sneak Peeks Day 1

Thanks for stopping by! It's a great day for a visit because sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower release begin today. We're calling this release Summer Afternoon because it brings together a mix of styles from fluttering butterflies to tropical blooms!

My cards today started with the cute Mix n Match Butterflies die. It includes butterfly wings that you can mix and match to create your own unique butterflies. If you look close you'll see the textured lines and piercings on the layers I chose.

The sentiment is the new Vintage Label - it's available as a solid die like I used where your ink colors the majority of the design or as an outline stamp where you would ink the parts that look white on my design.

I inked the new Cloudy Skies stencil in the same colors as the butterflies to tie the design together. The cloud stencil has four different edges that you can turn and ink for each color without having to wash it in between the colors.

The finishing touch was a sprinkle of shiny enamel dots to add a little bling to the design.

Waffle Flower February Release Day!

Awesome news! It's release day at Waffle Flower! That means all the sneak peeks you've been seeing for the last few days are now officially in the store and available for purchase! To celebrate you'll find lots more samples as well as some giveaways on Instagram!

This release is called Butterfly Blossom because we've got lots of beautiful blooms and butterflies too!

My card starts with the new Flower Focal Die that I cut from bright shades of cardstock. I love that the flower is three separate stackable pieces so I can add even more color to my design. It even comes with two different leaves for your arrangement.

That fabulous sentiment is from the Paper Hug Stamp Set. It's got lots of great mixed font sentiments.

The background die is called Mod Blossom. It has a coordinating stencil, but I left the cut plain white cardstock and layered it over a piece of yellow glitter paper. This one is swoon worthy in person!

Sketched Aster Forever Stamp

Today I'm playing at Ellibelle's Corner where I Spy With My Little Eye..... Something From the Garden! For me Flowers are always going to be my first choice!

This is flower is the Waffle Flower Sketched Aster that I colored in Sunflower shades because fall is in the air in my part of the world.

The background is an Oversized Postage die with a watercolor inlay created with Lindy's Magical's Powder. I had lots of fun sprinkling the intense powder on watercolor paper to create some fabulous backgrounds!

I added a layer of clear acetate over the image that I stamped with postage marks using Staz On ink.

The finishing touch was a sentiment inside the cancellation postmark and a sprinkle of yellow enamel dots for more color!

Miss You Tulips

Do you love die cuts and maybe looking for a challenge to play? I hope you'll check out the Poppystamps challenge! This month's challenge is to add some foil!

There's lots of ways to do that.. Poppystamps has some hot foil dies. You could also do like I did this time and die cut some foil paper with a die cut.

I've got lots of layers on this one... the background is the Evangeline Pinpoint die cut from light aqua cardstock, stacked over a dark aqua cardstock. I added a Pointy Lattice Plate cut from GOLD over that .. so pretty!

And to add a little more gold.. I made a flat shaker for the cover. I added vellum to the back of the medium size Scallop Stitch Frames and added some gold sequins underneath. The frame is adhered flat to the card so the sequins don't shake around much.

I topped the panel with some orange Layered Tulips for lots of contrast with the blue background. These flowers don't come with leaves so I added some from the Leafy Vine Corner dies set. A simple Miss You Moonlight Script die sentiment finishes off the design.

I love the blue and orange together and the elegance of the gold foil! I sure hope you find some time to play!

Hello Across the Miles

Thanks for stopping by! Is your mind turning to summer vacation and tropical places? Well I've got a card for you! It reminds me of a beautiful island paradise!

My card stars with a distress oxide background of yellow green and blue. I added a log to the ground and lots of vines along the top to help define the space and add dimension.

A simple Subsentiments Hello hot foil gold sentiment is adhered along the bottom edge and now time for the fun part.... Embellishing!

I added lots and lots of pretty flowers to the vines and along the log on the bottom of the card. The flowers are from the Layered Orchid die set and they're just two layers. I cut them from three shades of pink cardstock and just alternated they layers.

I love the fun look of this card! It makes me wish I could take a hike in the mountains of Hawaii!
