Thanks for stopping by! I hope life is good and that you're having a great day. Today I'm playing along at Beautiful Blossoms Challenge It's always anything goes and this time they have an optional inspiration photo to get your wheels spinning!

It's that time of year when finally green has returned but so have the dandelions! And while some of you might not consider these beautiful blooms there are so many beautiful things about dandelions.

I think the first flower our children pick for us is a dandelion How many of us have made a wish blowing on the dried head of a dandelion? The seeds drift off into the air like our wishes on the wind. From what I've been told my great grandfather used to make dandelion wine! Talk about making the most of what life throws your way!

My dandelions are arranged on layered Rounded Stitched Rectangles. I stamped the sentiment directly on the white panel and embellished the design with some pretty sparkly pearls.

Party Penguins

Today I'm playing along at A Place To Start where they're looking for cards for kids! I thought these cute penguins from Pink & Main would be just the thing!

The party Penguins set includes 5 penguins capturing various birthday fun elements and a sentiment too. The images are easy to color and they're super cute!

I love the little clown juggling and the one floating away holding on to the string of balloons. The coordinating die set includes dies for all the images including the sentiment.

The background is called Loopy Frame. I cut the frame from light pink and then layered it over a darker pink cardstock panel to add some contrast.

Brave Knight

If you love books and you love to craft then you need to check out the Waffle Flower Crafts new Open Book die set! It cuts the book and comes with the script die cut you see pressed into my book pages.

There are three coordinating stencil sets so you have an option of what you ink onto the open book pages. You could also using an existing stamp set and create your own book pages.

I love a fantasy, and of course I'm always looking for a happy ending so I stenciled the Open Book Dragon Castle on the pages. Don't you love that dragon?

I mounted the book on a Sweet Plaid texture panel cut from aqua cardstock and added a Copic colored knight and sentiment from the Magical Birthday stamp set.

Chasing Rainbows

Are you excited about the July release from Pink & Main? I've got a fabulous sneak peek for you! My card today is made with the new Chasing Rainbows stamp set. This set includes three adorable unicorns with a few simple sentiments, and of course there is a coordinating die set so you can cut them quick and easy.
  

I stamped these cheeky unicorns with Memento Ink and then colored them with alcohol markers. These markers made the rainbow colors on their manes and tails blend beautifully.

The background was created by layering (top to bottom) a panel of rainbow stripe paper from the new Happy Days paper pad over a white cardstock Scallop Rectangle die cut. This assembled panel sits on a purple cardstock panel that is slightly smaller than my A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment from the set with Versafine ink directly on the pattern paper.

To help the unicorns "Pop" from that rainbow stripe background I added some Stitched Circles in solid cardstock colors behind them. I kept the cardstock colors the same as their muzzle and hoofs to keep the design fluid and raised the images with adhesive foam tape. The finishing touch is a few glitter enamel dots from the Floral Hearts set.

Monkey Business

Hi there! I hope you're having a great day! I'm having a fun day! I got up, walked the dog, did a little crafting and then met my Mom and Sister for lunch! Life is good! I hope you are having a great day too!

I saw the inspiration photo at Cupcake Inspirations and just had to play along! I selected Monkey Friends by Pretty Pink Posh from my stash for my card below!

I inked them with alcohol markers and arranged them on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. The plastic makes it easy to slip different backgrounds underneath without messing up my arrangement.

I decided on some rainbow stripes like the ones in the inspiration photo. These were made with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Strips. I added white stripes between the colorful ones for this fun look.

The sentiment is called Happy Birthday Shadow and it's nice and big so it takes center stage on the design.

This card is just bananas! Are you smiling? I sure hope so! Mission accomplished!
