TupeloDesignsLLC - Ninja Love

Happy Friday ! I hope you're having a great day! I've got big plans for tonight. My son and some college friends are running in the Chicago Marathon on Sunday and we're hosing a pasta party to get them loaded with carbs!

I'm posting today for TupeloDesignsLLC - they're my favorite store! I love that I can find all my favorite things in one store and that shipping is FREE every single day with no coupon required (USA only - discounted rates international).
I couldn't resist this set of Ninja-mazing Ninja's from My Favorite Things. I wanted to give my card an animated look, and the red and white striped background reminds me of a Japanese flag.
I created the background with strips of sticky post it tape. I blocked areas, inked them with distress ink and then removed the tape and inked a different area. When the panel was complete I splattered it with water, then watered down distress ink and finally white ink. I die cut a heart in the center of the striped panel and layered it over a panel of white card stock inked up with Spun Sugar Distress Ink.
I inked the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black for a crisp clean impression. The flag die is also from MFT Stamps.
All the images are stamped with Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers.
