CAS-ual Fridays February Release Day 4
Full On Floral & Daisy Chains

It's arrived!  It's Day 4 of our peeks of the new CASual Fridays February Release.. AND.. the stamps are officially in the store today!  There are 8 new sets to choose from!  Today we're showing Full on Floral - a beautiful background stamp, and Daisy Chains - a set of border stamps.

I've used the Full on Floral background throughout the past four days each time using a different technique.  Today I embossed the background with clear embossing powder on watercolor paper and then painted a rainbow of color using distress inks.  The background is a good size - perfect for an A2 (4.25 x 5.5" card).

I keep my distress inks in a palate loaded up with the reinkers,  so they are easy to dip into with a water brush and add bold color.  When I add the paints I start by skipping every other color.  So for this one I painted the primary colors - Candy Apple, Lemonade, and Ocean Spray before adding the other colors.  This helps me with my spacing, and by letting the color soak into the paper they don't mix as much when I apply the secondary colors - keeping each color distinct.

The sentiment is from Heartfelt Sayings.  The scallop border in gold adds some sparkle to the design.

My second card features the Daisy Chain border stamp set.  It includes four pretty borders.. but how to show them all off for you?  I decided to stamp them in colorful rows on a panel of card stock!

I added some highlights to the flowers with Copic Markers and some glittery goodness with Spectrum Noir markers.

I added gems and pearls to the center of some of the flowers for more color and sparkle.  A sprinkle of gold foil hearts from Fun Fetti are fun too!   The sentiment is again from Heartfelt Sayings.

The distressed ink on the first card is glorious. It 's so bright and beautiful. And I love the way you stamped the second card. It's colorful, cheerful and fun.

Whether the design is white embossed or color stamped, it shows up so beautifully in your card layout. The rainbow background is vibrant and the special touches to your daisy chain design make for great cards. Thanks for sharing.

Full On Floral fabulousness, my friend! You've certainly made these blooms the stars of the stage! Came back home yesterday, after dropping my husband at the airport for a week's travel to Austria (work related). Missing him...and my mom...and my niece and nephew. Visiting your blog: the perfect pick-me-up! You've made me smile, sparked inspiration and warmed my heart! I'll be in touch with a real note soon; stay tuned! Hope you're feeling better...extra hugs enroute!
