Fusion - Embossed Ombre

Wow this week is slipping by fast isn't it?  I'm playing the hostess with the mostest tomorrow.  My son has invited a bunch of the kids on the Purdue Cross Country Team over for a pasta party so they can carb up for the big race on Saturday.  The season is coming to a quick end so  I hope they do well.

A new challenge begins today at Fusion Card Challenge, and wow is this one ever pretty.  It took me a while to figure out what I would do here and it evolved quickly.  You can work with the photo inspiration or the sketch, or if you're feeling tricky you can try to put them together like I did.  I saw that pretty cake with the big white flower and started thinking tropical wedding.  I almost did a distress background but the sketch convinced me to piece pieces of colored card stock for my ombre look.   To mimic the fancy icing on the cake I inlaid a detailed die cut from Memory Box.

I swear I started out CAS but once that doily got glued down the embellishments just started adding themselves!
That's ok!  I think a wedding or anniversary deserve some extra eye candy!  It's not always smooth sailing living with your partner!  LOL!
I hope you'll visit my Fusion teamies and see what they've created for you as well.  Here's a list of all the folks with projects today.

And while you're feeling inspired link something up at Fusion Card Challenge!   I'll be looking for you there!!
