Happy Friday! I hope you have plans for a great weekend! I'm hoping we will have the Christmas tree up this weekend. We've been taking it slow this year trying to do a little every day instead of everything all at once. Next big project is writing Christmas Cards. I sure hope I get on that quick!Today I'm playing along at Freshly Made Sketches. A new challenge begins on Wednesday and it's easy to play along because you just follow the sketch like a "recipe". This one is easy because you can embellish the center area with whatever you like! I created the striped background with straight solid strip from the Pretty Pink Posh Solid Stitched Borders 3 set. I filled the center area with smaller Stitched Strips in shades of blue.
The Mitten Shaker takes center stage. I cut the mitten from red cardstock and then again from white cardstock. I trimmed the white cuff and adhered it to the red cut out. I embellished the mitten with Winter Foliage and a simple sentiment from Holiday Scripts. The Winter Foliage die set is my hands down favorite die release this year. It contains so many great little dies perfect for floral arrangements and embellishing. I hope you find some time to make - it's a great way to relieve some of the stress of the holidays.
