The 12 Kits of Occasions - Happy Fall Y'all!

It's ALMOST the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! We know you're all going to be busy with the tricks and treats tomorrow so we are posting a little early this month.

Not familiar with the 12 Kits of Occasions? We're a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.

Our hostess this month is Sharron Gregory of On Papillon Wings blog. Sharron is a sweet friend with a peaceful soul. She loves to garden and bird watch, and her love of nature shows in the kit she provided this month. There are cute woodland critters, fall foliage, pumpkins, and lots of love.

I had so much fun making.. actually 5 cards this time. Take a peek at what I made this time! No tricks, all treats and hardly anything left in my tray when I was done!

Freshly Made Sketches - Kindness and A Sale!

Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a good start! DH is away and I'm hoping to get lots of crafting done today! I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches today. You know I can't resist a sketch challenge!

I love the clean simple design this time. I think this layout would go great with just about any stamp set. I envisioned a sentiment in the center with fall leaves in a rainbow of colors peeking out from behind. I love working with lots of COLOR! 

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti Fall For You stamp set. I die cut it with the peirced circle die from Flowers For Mom. I layered that over another circle cut in RC Aqua card stock. This circle die is from the Circles 'n Scallops set.

I adhered the sentiment with adhesive foam tape to add a little dimension.

The Fall Foliage leaves are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers. 

The Polka Panel makes a beautiful background. I die cut a few scrap strips of gold glitter and RC Aqua card stock to get extra dots to fill some of the holes. 

I love the rainbow of color on this card! So happy I played along!

TupeloDesignsLLC Carmel Apple and GIVEAWAY!

Happy Friday! It's getting down right cold here at night so lots of yard work to get done this weekend. The clay pots need to get emptied and put away and we've been mulching the plants that need a little extra TLC over the winter.

Today I'm posting for TupeloDesignsLLC! They're my favorite store! I love the variety of products and brands I find there and shipping is always FREE (USA only - discounted rates international)! 

I love fall.. the crisp air, turning leaves and the bounty of the harvest here in the midwest. I love to bake and fill the house with scents of home cooking, and yes I'll be making some carmel apples too! I know they'll be appreciated even if I can't eat any myself. I can't risk anymore dental trauma in my life! LOL! 

I wanted the Caramel Apples from Lawn Fawn to look like they're sitting on a table cloth. I used a piece of post it tape to divide my card stock panel. I inked up the top half with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, and the bottom half with Spun Sugar. I layered the Neat & Tangled Modern Triangles stencil over the bottom half and inked it with Worn Lipstick. The pink background you see on the card base is inked with spun sugar Distress Oxide ink - it's softer and creamier than original Distress Ink. 

The apples are inked with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic Markers. Aren't those little bows sweet? I love this cute sentiment too! If you know how much I love Caramel Apples then you'll know that I love you ALOT!
