Countdown to Confetti Day 3Dog Days

It's Day 3 in our Countdown to Confetti. We've been sharing sneak peeks of the new release July 12-14. We'll be celebrating the new release being available in the store - TOMORROW July 15 - with a blog hop!

Today we're showing off the new Dog Days stamp set and coordinating Dog Days Sentiments. When I was young they'd call the hottest days of summer the "dog days", but I sort of think that this set is more of a charmed "dog's life" - because most of our pets have it pretty good! LOL!

The Dog Days stamp set includes three cute dogs enjoying the summer sun. The set also includes a sand pail, shovel, umbrella, palm trees and more! You'll be able to create lots of cute scenes with these cuties.

There are so many images in this set that they had to make a separate set filled with coordinating sentiments. They're just what you'd expect from Reverse Confetti.. a little punny! to make you smile!

I created two scene cards.. the first (above) the pups are at the beach, and below.. they're swimming in the pool.

The pool was created with the retired Hello and Thanks Label shaped die. The Oval Window would make a great pool too. I added waves using a border die cut as a mask for Distress Ink.

I wanted express a sunny day so I added yellow Distress Ink to the outside of the frame - keeping it clear at the bottom for the sentiment.

The images are colored with Copic Markers, and I added some Glossy Accents to the sunglasses for some shine - like real sunglasses!

I like that you can multipurpose the images.. is the pup on a blanket or a floatie? Could be either. The umbrella doubles as well and works well on the beach or as an umbrella on the floatie.
