Daffodil Hello

I'm day dreaming about Spring Flowers lately. The weather is getting warmer - making it more of a pleasure to walk Miss Moriko. I'm starting to see shoots of green peeking up from the ground and I know that Daffodils are on their way!

When nature doesn't cooperate I'm always happy to make my own in my craft room. Today I'm coloring Waffle Flower Daffodils.

They're arranged on Geometric Cover die that I layered over a panel of Distress Ink in ombre shades of green.
The Daffodils are colored with Copic markers. The leaves are adhered flat to the background panel while the flowers are adhered with adhesive foam tape. The added dimension makes this card extraordinary.

The little Hello sentiment is from the Vertical Sentiments stamp set. I think this is the ONLY vertical stamp set that I own and I love that I can add a sentiment in a new way.
I hope you are having a great weekend and that your back yard is holding some pretty surprises of it's own. Flowers are always welcome!

I'm linking up to Creative Knockouts where this time they're asking you to pick two ingredients.  I chose flowers and die cuts.

Sending Prayers

Today I'm trying something different.. a circle shaped card! Sometimes something unexpected changes how you see things!
I used the Waffle Flower Lacy Circles to create a card base and to add colorful layers to my card. The circle shape almost makes this look like a great big FLOWER!
The center circle is the perfect place for a sentiment and a little garden scen for that sweet little rabbit.
The bunny is from a the Waffle Flower stamp set called Hopeful Girl that features a sweet girl praying. If you look close you'll see that the bunny's arm's are free so you can tuck a flower in it's paw.
Another plus is that there's not a whole lot of coloring on this card. The bunny is left uncolored - just a little blush added to it's cheeks and insides of the ears.
Sometimes it's good to try something new - it opens doors to possibilities.
I'm linking this card at Crafty Catz where anything goes with a twist on Easter.

Waffle Flower Crocus Combo

Hi and thanks for stopping by! This week has gone so fast for me! But now it's Friday! No plans for me, and that's the kind I like best! Today I'm playing along at Cardz 4 Galz where they're looking for Spring Flowers for Mother's Day or Spring.

My card features the Waffle Flower Crocus stamp. They're the very first flowers of spring I see here in Northwest Indiana - but only if your lucky. The deer in the area have a fondness for flower bulbs and the chipmunk and squirrel have a habit of replanting them in unexpected places.

The background is a few layers.. the white oval is actually the Stitchable Pinking Oval die cut. It's perforated so you can do some sewing on it, but to me it looks like lace.
The pierced scallop rectangle is from the A2 Lacy Layers set. I like the alternating straight lines and scallops in the set that are perfect for layering.
The simple sentiment is also from the crocus set, and the purple papers are from Waffle Flower. The pads are unique because they can be folded in half to create card bases. They're thick enough to hold their own, pretty on the outside and clean on the inside for your personal messages.
I can't resist a little bling.. so you'll also see a scatter of purple enamel dots. I love how the purple looks with the colorful crocus.

Have a great day!
