Spellbinders October Card Club Kit

Maybe you don't make alot of cards - only a few times a year for special occasions. If this sounds like you then you should check out the Spellbinders monthly card club kit. You can subscribe and be surprised every month or just purchase the kits you like after they're revealed on the first of every month. This time it's all about Christmas!
The kit includes EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. You get a pattern paper pad, die cut images, stickers, sequins, a stamp set, a die set, solid cardstock and even card bases, envelopes, double sided tape and foam dots.
Every kit is a little different. This one included chipboard frames that are perfect for creating focal points on your cards. Simply place your sentiment inside and embellish the frame.
Every kit also includes florals. I used the ones in this set to create a wreath (think of it as a circular frame) around the large die cut candle.
Ever kit includes some sort of bling. This time it was a pack of sequins in snow white. You can make some shakers with those frames and use the sequins as snow!
I like to create scenes with the different pieces. Wavy cut pattern paper becomes hills of snow. I like that the die cut pieces are coordinated to look good together.
I added a rainbow journaling card behind the gingerbread house as well as a row of trees to help set the scene.
Here's another scene.. Santa is loading up the sleigh.. or is he dropping off at your house?
I love that everyone that plays with the kit will see it in a different way! And don't forget that long after all your pretty papers and embellishments are gone you'll still be able to play because the kit also includes a stamp and a die set. The die this time includes a Santa face, "noel" sentiment, and decorated tree.
Thanks for having a peek! I hope you like the cards and will give the Spellbinders Card Making Club Kit Subscription a try sometime. If you don't like a surprise you can order the kit after it's revealed on the first of every month. Have a GREAT DAY!

Halloween Spooktacular

Wow the weekend went fast! I'm loving the cooler fall nights and seeing more signs of fall everywhere. I did a little craft shopping this weekend and was disappointed that Hobby Lobby didn't have anything Halloween so I had to visit Michaels and Joanns to get my fill!
Today I'm playing along at Inspiration Station where the theme is Trick or Treat!
I mixed a few different sets from Pretty Pink Posh to create this Spooktacular card!
My card starts with a Distress Oxide background that I topped with flowers and foliage from Woodland Thanks stamp set.

The dressed up cuties are from the Halloween Critters set. They come with the "BOO" sentiment that you can stamp right on the pumpkins or add like I did by cutting them out!
I hope you're enjoying the change of seasons and getting ready for some Halloween fun!

Grateful For You

We know you love Reverse Confetti, but did you know they have a monthly challenge? It's called Stock Your Stash and every month there is a different theme designed to help you have a card for just about every occasion for events throughout the year.
I love seeing the different designs linked to the challenge so I can see the unique ways others have made with the products that I might already have on hand. It's also a great place to make friends - because we have alot in common! And.. linking up your design automatically enters you to win the prize giveaway!
This month's theme is Thanksgiving and Friendship! There's lots of different stamp sets that you could use to play along. I love flowers so I couldn't resist these Fall Flowers!
The flowers are clean lined so they're easy to color with markers or your favorite media. I arranged two of the large florals from the set around the sentiment that I cut with a paper trimmer.
That beautiful stitched background was created by cutting the Folklore Cover Panel from white cardstock and inking it with Distress Oxide in fall colors. Top to bottom if you'd like to give this one a try.. Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon and Festive Berries.
I hope you'll join me and play along! The challenge always begins on the first and you have the  whole month to play along!   If you do, your stash will have one more card ready for the Thanksgiving holiday! What a great way to say thanks to a friend for all the good things they bring to your life.
