Fusion Card Challenge - Cactus Cake

Hi friends! Are you looking for a card challenge to play? A new one starts today at Fusion Card Challenge! You'll love this challenge because there are three ways to play.. you can play along with the sketch, be inspired by the photo, or FUSE them together and play with BOTH!

I'm all about the pictures and of course I'm checking out that cake and drooling just a little! I see cacti and pink flowers on an ombre pink background. If you're not feeling the photo or the colors, that's ok.. you can play along with the sketch!
I'll be honest.. not alot of cactus stamps and dies in my collection at the moment, and I've sort of been looking for an excuse to play with this Waffle Flower Summer Time stamp set because it's got so many cute images and I just love a scene card. It's got a cactus so I'm calling this one good to go!
I colored all the images with Copic Markers and arranged them on a Distress Oxide inked panel.
I arrange the images on a piece of plastic the size of my card base and then layer it over different colors to help me decide what inks to use.
I decided on a sunrise in the desert for the background. The orange and yellow is bright and fresh.
Now it's your turn! Now it's your turn! Are you ready to play? I wonder how you will interpret the photo! Maybe you need a little more inspiration? Check out designs from the rest of the team. Just click on their names below to jump to their blogs.
