Reverse Confetti SFYTT#38 - Whale Done

YAYY!  It's my first post as an official Confetti Crew member!  I've been playing along with the Reverse Confetti Sketch For You To Try for as long as I can remember.   I never dreamed I'd be on the team showing the samples!  So excited today!

I love a skech challenge - they've always been my favorite.   I know lots of you like a color challenge, but I just get a color stuck in my head - say orange for example (since my whale is orange) and I just start thinking of everything orange that I can think of - fruit, traffic cones, flowers, etc.. and that's all I can focus on.  When I look at a sketch it's easy for me to see different objects where the shapes are.

Here's the sketch for July!   See what I mean?  No sweat! I see lots of possibilities.  The red square could be a tag or a die cut panel, the blue square a stamped image.. it's up to you.

I love mixing papers - remember my trick - when they start eating each other or disappearing add a border of solid card stock.   My sentiment seemed to blend into the papers too so I added a second banner of darker paper to help it stand out more.
When I first saw the sketch I envisioned the yellow square on the sketch as waves.  I cut these from the Doin' the Wave  die and taped them together on the reverse side.   They make the perfect setting for my orange whale from the Seaside stamp set.   The set has nautical creatures with punny sentiments, and coordinating dies make it easy to cut your stamped images.
The Wreath die cut is one of my favorites - I like to use it as a doily or a frame.  On today's project it draws attention to the whale image and reminds me of water splashing.
Now it's your turn!  Are you ready to get your Confetti on?   You have a month to play!  I hope I see you there!  Click here to jump to the blog and get all the details!
