A new challenge begins today at CASE Study and our muse this month is Joni Nina Andaya from Papel with Love blog. Check out this beautiful inspiration photo! I think it was love at first sight for me with the bright colors! Sometimes I think a card is just perfect "as is" or there is a new technique that I just "have to try" so I don't change a whole lot. This is absolutely one of them. I stamped my birds in Versamark ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then for the fun part - getting all inky and blending the colors. I was so tempted to reach for the red, pink and yellow in Joni's design but I talked myself down. I love blue and purple too! LOL!!
I was a coward and didn't spritz the ink with water! As an alternative I added some gold perfect pearls. To make the spots I drew them with a Sakura Quickie Glue pen, let the glue dry and then dusted the spots with Perfect Pearls powder. The glue is sticky and keeps the powder from moving around.
Want to see what the rest of the DT came up with? Just click on their names to jump to their blots. We have two wonderful guesties this month as well!
