12 Kits of the Holidays - July Edition

I have two posts today - Serendipity Stamps is having a new release blog hop - (please scroll down) there's some candy to be had!!

Welcome to the 12 Kits of Holidays!.   To refresh your memory the 12 Kits is a group of 12 designers / paper crafting friends.  We each take turns hosting the group -  making a "kit" of paper crafting supplies.  On the last day of the month we reveal what we all made with the supplies we were given.   Sometimes our projects look similar and other times not so much.  It's always fun to see how someone used a particular product that seemed "tricky" that perhaps another member couldn't figure out what to do with.    We all have our own style - ranging from CAS to Fancy Pants (HAHA!! - don't look at me!!!  Only one bow here!!  Does that count?)   Tracey McNeely has been really busy starting up a new blog for our little group  called "The 12 Kits of Occasions" so you can follow our posts and see our creations all in one place if you have interest.  There's some candy to be had here as well!!

This month our hostess was the sweet and talented Christina Maclaren from Sea Glass Papercrafts.  And wow what a wonderful bunch of goodies for us this time.  PERFECTLY stamped images from WPlus9, gold sparkly twine, enamel dots and sequins and a rainbow of pretty patterned papers from My Mind's Eye.   Oh and how could I forget .. GOLD EMBOSSED SENTIMENTS????   I can't imagine how many hours Christina put into making this wonderful kit for us!  THANK YOU!!!  Oh and the tricky thing that I didn't use this time?  The ribbon!!!  I know?  Like "What the Heck?" Right?

I'm going to keep this short because I know you want to see what the other ladies made and I have 5 projects to share here!

Your fortune should say "You will create something fabulous today"...you certainly did. My favorite is the fortune cookie card...love that idea with the Chinese banners too. I really loved that one! Cute stamps...have to check them out. I also laughed when you talked about the bows...and you didn't use the ribbon? Wow, that really is a shocker! Great job, you made some really pretty cards Jeanne. I don't know how you do it with all you have going on!

Wow! Hey I see we were kinda on the same page for the last card. Only one large bow! Well you know I love each and every card , I am going to say the row of cupcakes is my favorite, well….and the fortune one just too darn cute. I strung my lanterns up but never used them.
Such a fun kit, each one is!
Trying to get ready for my trip tomorrow, early and I have already been up since 3am so tired.

Oh my "miss fancy pants"...did you just out do yourself this month with a wonderful collection of fabby cards! But my favorite of your bundle is your yummy row of beautifully colored cupcakes, (I knew I should have mailed mine to you). Just stunning...but really, I love each and everyone of your cards.

Wow, where do I start?! First of all, you have me cracking up over the ribbon. I never would have guessed it would give you trouble! LOL!
You totally knocked my socks off with the coloring on those cupcakes. Amazing! The ribbon you added to the second card is a perfect fit, and you made such great use of the colorful papers. I just adore how you used the sunburst as a backdrop to the glittered cupcake on the third card. But I am completely blown away by your Fortune card! Love how you stamped the lanterns with Chinese symbols and added the sequins! Your last card is just gorgeous, too. Amazing work this month, Jeanne!

Awesome cards from the extraordinary kit, Jeanne! As I was scrolling down I was oohing and awing and saying, "That's my fave!" "No, that's my fave!" "No, that's my fave!" "No, that's my fave!" As you can tell, I liked them ALL!!

Oooh I think my favorite is the row of cupcakes! LOVE how you colored them to perfectly match the "candle" paper and how you have that teeny banner on the star stick pin! Your takeout box card is a lovely layered scene with that AWESOME row of lanterns you created! Love how you used the sunshine paper to draw your eye right to that glittered cupcake! Such a great mix of papers on that one that I never would have thought to put together! Now these are what I call eye CANDY! :)

Jeanne I thoroughly enjoyed your post. I agree I love seeing how the others use the supplies. Look at you holding back on the ribbon. I LOVE how you used stick pins and toothpicks to put toppers on the cupcakes, I never even thought of that but now I still have supplies to try that out. So many creative die cuts. The balloon bouquet at the end is really wow! All fabulous.

What do you mean, the ribbon gave you trouble? Naughty ribbon? I saw your big orange bow, and immediately knew that was your card. Each and every card is just so bright and stunning. You did such a great job with all the patterned papers, and embellishments, too. I feel like I could study each card for hours, and keep discovering amazing little details.

Love these cards Jeanne!! You are a rockstar card maker....my favorite is definitely the card with the line of cuppies but the fortune card with the lanterns takes a fast second!!!

Wow, you really rocked this kit!! Every one of your cards is amazing and so chock full of wonderful details! Love the row of cupcakes and the gorgeous bow you added to the second card. The combo of papers with the sunburst makes the cupcake the star on that card and I adore your decorated cake. Super stunning design with the fortune cookies--your banner is awesome and I love the sprinkling of sequins!

Jeanne, I'm looking at the cards thinking oh I like that one, but then I get to the next one and I like it better...they are all the bomb this month! I really love the seize the cupcake card with the sunburst behind it. And the oriental take out box card is awesome!
