Fall Spirit & Tag You're It!

Are you gearing up for Thanksgiving?  My house is still in disarray from the home improvements we are making but that won't stop us from having a big Thanksgiving dinner.  There will always be room around the kitchen table for family and a feast to be had!  I usually start cooking the day before Thankgiving - making pies, prepping veggies and preparing casseroles that can be easily placed in the oven so I have time to sit and talk!  I thought it would be a good time to pull out these great turkey images from Serendipity in honor of the upcoming holiday!
There are two size turkey stamps - the large one I made into a card, and the smaller one into a pretty tag that I will attach to a loaf of pumpkin bread for my mom and dad to take home!  I colored them up with Copic markers and then layered them on some die cuts.  I am entering my card in the Ribbon Carousel Challenge "Fall Spirit".  One random winner will receive a Ribbon Carousel!
I am entering this tag in the Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog - challenge this week is Tag You're It!  You must make a tag using at least one Cheery Lynn Die.

Thanks for stopping by for a look - I hope you have a beautiful day!  If you like these turkey stamps they are on sale (20% off) along with all the other Thanksgiving stamps at Serendipity now through November 28!  Have a great week!

Waltzingmouse November Blog Party - Gratitude

Oh are we having a Waltzingmouse Saturday or what?  The new sketch challenge is out today...  and YAY!!! ..... since it is the 17th...  the Blog Party!!   The theme this month is Gratitude.  So appropriate for Thanksgiving and the holidays -  and it is so important to count your blessings right?  Well my friends... what am I thankful for?  Why YOU of course!!  I am so blessed for the wonderful friends I've met through our mutual obsession with Waltzingmouse (you know who you are!!)  You might be wondering where I got the sentiment - it is from Blessed by You.  The stamp originally said "Thankful for Your Hospitality".  I just taped off the part I didn't need before I inked it up.  Then I removed the tape and BAM!  A whole new sentiment!
I used the free digital template of the Watering Can and filled it with loads of colorful Chrysanthemums.  I fussy cut leaves and flowers and arranged them into a bouquet ready for giving!!  There are lots of free digi templates to choose from at the Waltzingmouse store - check them out sometime!!
Thanks for stopping by!  You can see all the other projects that are linked up here!  I can't wait to see what you made!

WMSC #124 - Thanksgiving Tree

Happy Saturday!  We made it through the week!  It's time to grab a cuppa your favorite, and check the new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge!  It's still my Saturday routine and I love what I'm seeing!   I am always amazed with the designs and creations I find linked up every week!
The sketch this week is from Mischief Maker Karin Akesdotter of Peppermint Patty's Papercraft blog! I feel like I totally CASED Karin with this one. I saw this card on her blog a while back and even went so far as to print it out to CASE and today is the day! In fact, it might just be the card that the sketch is based on!  It's a gorgeous tropical beauty. The glittery frame reminds me of sparkly sand.   If I stare at it long enough maybe I can escape to some island paradise!!    Well here's my take ....  my Indiana reality - a fall wonderland!!!
I inked up the leaves from "Blessed by You" and stamped them in alternating colors on patterned paper.  I cut a circle in the center to make a window, then cut out the circle doily with a circle in the center of that for a frame.  Inside the window I stamped the pretty willow tree on kraft.  This one is so pretty it doesn't need a bow or anything else!

I hope this card puts you in the mood for fall and Thanksgiving!  Have a beautiful day and make something!  I can't wait to see it!!

Thanks

Jeanne
