The 12 Kits of Occasions - For The Graduate

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.
Our Hostess this month is Kara Lynne from Bright Hope Creations and our theme is For The Graduate. What a wonderful kit! Rainbow colored papers from Lawn Fawn, stamped images from WPlus9, My Favorite Things and Stamping Bella. Lots of die cuts too in (swoon) gold and glossy black!

I used just about EVERYTHING in this kit with the exception of the number die cuts so (so I can use them for any year).

I can't believe I made SEVEN cards! Here goes!

Silhouette Cut Files - Graduation Silhouettes
Lawn Fawn Wild For You, Hats Off To You
Lawn Fawn Smart Cookie

Th 12 Kits of Occasions
A Whimsical Garden

It's the last day of the month and you know what that means right? It's time for The 12 Kits of Occasions! The 12 Kits of Occasions is a group of 12 friends who all love to paper craft. Every month we take turns making a kit for the rest of the group. We all receive the same kit with the same items. On the last day of the month we reveal what we each made with the kit. It's fun to see how we used the product in different ways. Sometimes the projects are similar and sometimes they are very different.
It's another beautiful kit this month.. this time it's by Hostess: Lisa Elton from My Paper Tales.

I've enjoyed getting to know each of the ladies in this team a little better every month. They're the best support group because we have so much in common.

Lisa's style always fascinates me. Her projects have a soft feminine look. She gravitates to pastels, and I love the details she adds - a perfectly placed bit of bling to satisfy my inner diva!

Want to see more projects made with this kit? Head on over to The 12 Kits of Occasions blog where you'll find a sample from each of the team members as well as a list of ingredients in the kit. Lisa has a giveaway there for two lucky commenters too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Tupelo Designs LLC - Merry!

Happy Friday!  We made it through the week!  I hope you have some fun planned for the weekend!  There's nothing on my list to do.  If the weather is fine I think I'll talk Mr. J. into a trip to the zoo - if it's cold and rainy I'm staying put!

Friday is my day to post for Tupelo Designs, LLC.  This is my favorite place to shop.  They carry lots of  my favorite brands and shipping is free every day - no coupon code required.   I  like that I can mix my basket with different brands - no minimum order to meet for free shipping, and I even get reward points. These are points that add up and can be turned into dollars off my next purchase.
Today I'm playing with some WPlus9 I got with my last order.   Whenever I get a new set I always cut and stamp a bunch.  Usually about 10  of each.  I can stamp them in different colors and play around with lining up the stamp and die.  Even though this set has window dies that are perfect for stamping and then cutting, I usually do the opposite..  cut the dies and then stamp on them.
I can play around with different arrangements - deciding what to put where before I commit to stamping.
For this one the only elements that will be applied as cut dies are the Merry label and three large poinsettia flowers.  I stamped all the other images on the panel that will cover the card base.

Here's a close up so you can see the flowers adhered after I stamped the base panel.
Here's the finished card...
Want to see what I purchased for that great Black Friday sale that Tupelo Designs LLC had?  I just got my package yesterday - December 1!  That was quick!
My order came by Federal Express.  It was quadruple wrapped!  First layer was the Federal Express bag, then another waterproof bag, the next layer was a nice printed bag, and inside that my package was gift wrapped like this..
My packing list is easy to see, and tucked in there was a little gift for me!  Some pretty buttons and a card with the original Tupelo - the Greyhound the store is named for.
Ok now for the things I ordered..
Some Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Stamp set and Happy Card Frame die set!   These flowers are so pretty and I can't wait to make some layers with that frame!

Some cute Lavinia Stamps Fairy Chain Large, and Tree Goddess "Luna".
I've been wanting this Altenew Oriental Orchid set forever!
Can you tell I'm hooked on Altenew lately?  This is the Botanical Garden stamp set and Thank You Die.
And finally .. I have the matching dies for my Vintage Flowers stamp set and some word dies too for Christmas!

I'd love to hear what you bought!

Fusion Card Challenge - Seasons Greetings Stag

What a busy day!  I've got three posts for today - lots of new challenges beginning.  This one is for Fusion Card Challenge.  This one doesn't normally start on the 1st of the month.. it's every other Thursday, and the 1st just happens to be on Thursday this month!

Here's the inspiration photo / sketch this time.  Remember it's Fusion so you can work with the inspiration photo OR the sketch.... if you're feeling clever you can fuse them together.   I usually love a sketch, but this time I was inspired by the photo.  I zoomed in on that Reindeer surrounded by candles, greenery and pine cones.
I started by cutting a frame and roughly drew the shape of it on a panel of white card stock.  Next I added very soft Tumbled Glass distress ink using a Clarity Stencil Brush so it peeks out from behind the frame.

Next I added lots of foliage on the frame - these pretty flowers, pine and pine cones are from WPlus9's Merry & Bright.

Then I added this wonderful stag in aqua.  I'm still loving aqua and red side by side!
Of course we need to have a little gold for Christmas - so the inner frame is gold glitter paper, and I added some gold sequins for more shine!

Now it's your turn! Need a little more inspiration? Check out more projects from our design team!
