Altenew July 2019 Stencil Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hi and thanks for stopping by! It's a great day for a visit! Altenew is celebrating their latest stencil release with a blog hop! If you're following along you should have reached me from Isha Gupta's blog. If you'd like to start at the beginning and get all the details, you'll find

There are NINE new stencils this release. I've made cards with three so there is LOTS TO SEE! This striped stencil is called BEACH TOWEL. I inked it with distress ink in ombe yellow green and blue.

I didn't want to cover up the inking too much - with stencils like these you can make GORGEOUS backgrounds.

I topped the stencil background with an oval die cut from the Create A Wreath die cut set. A sentiment from Fancy Greetings is stamped on the oval with Altenew Obsidian Black Pigment Ink.

I embellished the frame with florals from the new Charming Doodles stamp set.

My second card is a shaker created with the Fine Bouquet die.

This card starts with a background made with the Buffalo Plaid stencil. I inked it with pastel yellow, orange and pink. Next I die cut the Fine Bouquet on the panel and stamped it with a sentiment from the Fancy Greetings stamp set. 

I covered the reverse of the window with clear acetate, and then adhered a gold Fine Bouquet over the front of the panel. I added adhesive foam tape around the opening on the reverse side of the panel and topped it with an inked piece of card stock so some color peeks through the window with the clear sequins. 

My last card was made with the Wonderful Wreath stencil. 

I started with a distess ink panel of yellow and light green. Next I added Wonderful Wreath florals in darker shades of green all over the panel.

I die cut the Mega Hope die from the panel, and then cut it several more times from white card stock. I stacked the die cuts adhering them in place one at a time for dimension.

To add a little shine I applied Glossy Accents over the Mega Hope word die. A simple sentiment keeps the beautiful inky background from being covered up.
