You know I LOVE die cuts! I love the clean crisp lines and bold graphic looks you can design with them. I saw the book cover this time at The Library Challenge and couldn't resist playing along.
Isn't this amazing? I love the colors and bold contrast! Here's what I made.....
I used a Poppystamps Peaceful Dove for the bird. I cut the image from orange card stock and then adhered the negative over a black panel. I cut the dove a second time from charcoal card stock and then inlaid it in the cut opening.
The sunshine was created by cutting several circles in different sizes from yellow card stock. The circles are stacked to mimic the sun on the book cover.
