I confess I've been looking for a challenge with lots of green! I'll use any holiday as an excuse to make something and I can't let St. Patrick's Day go by without a handful of cards to give away! Today I'm playing at The Card Concept! Check out the inspiration photo this time!
I am LOVING all the different shades of green with the accents of gold! Perfect for a St. Patrick's Day.. and I'm thinking a pot of GOLD!
I started my card with a monochromatic background of ombre shades of GREEN card stock. I cut the diamond border from Pretty Pink Posh Stacked Edges 2 for each shade. I tape the diamond borders together on the reverse to make a panel and trim it to size and adhere to my card base. The Stacked Edges 2 is a set of three borders die cuts that are great for stacking to make cool backgrounds. I usually cut all three borders at the same time and keep the ones I don't need for a future project.
The Leprechaun is from Best of Luck and there are coordinating dies to make this set super easy to use. I colored the images with Copic markers.
I stamped the sentiment on a Scallop Circle Die cut in green ink. I always forget to stamp in color. This deep olive color is Versafine Olympia Green.
I'm loving the new Pretty Pink Posh Jewels too. They are bitty flat back faceted gems that add lots of sparkle. They come in lots of colors and the ones on my card are in Shamrock.
