CAS-ual Fridays January Sistah's Blog Hop

Hi and thanks for stopping by!!   I'm calling out to all Sistahs! On the 17th of the month CAS-ual Fridays Stamps sponsors a blog hop to remind you and the important women in your life to make sure you're doing your monthly breast self-exam and scheduling a yearly mammogram. You can make a difference and you might just save a life!

1 in 8 women in the U.S. will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime. Early detection is so important for treatment! We want all the women in our lives to know how important they are to us and how much we want them to live strong healthy lives.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps owner Michele is a survivor. She designed a line of stamps to provide support and to promote awareness. 50% of the sale of products in the "Calling All Sistahs" campaign are donated to breast cancer research and awareness.

I started with a watercolor panel made with Ranger Distress Ink in Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Barn Door, and Spun Sugar.   Next I splattered it with white ink and set it to the side to dry. 

I stamped the sentiment from WORD RIBBON on a FUNKY SQUARE TAG.  I love that the tag is layered so I can put a gold glittery matt behind the sentiment. 

Did you hear the good news? Pretty Pink Posh has created a Sistah's sequin mix just for CAS-ual Fridays!! This mix is available exclusively at the CFS store, to help us support Breast Cancer Awareness. Michele will be donating 50% of the profits, just as she does with the other items in the Calling All Sistahs collection, to NBCF.org Quantities are limited and once they are gone, they're gone! Better get them FAST! I didn't get mine in time for the hop.. so I made a mix of my own for this card.

I cut the watercolor panel with a Lovely Links Fri Die - the one with the hearts for Valentines day.. next I put some clear acetate on the back side, and inserted a white die cut Lovely Links die cut on the front side.  I created an channel with foam tape on the back, adhered the panel to my card base and filled the channel with pretty sequins.  Shake Shake Shake!  No one has nicer sequins than Pretty Pink Posh! 

I reserved some of the hearts from the LOVELY LINKS Fri Die and used them as accents around the sentient and over the HEART BOARD die cut accents.
