12 Kits of Occasions December Edition

So how is everybody doing?  I have been so very busy this past week  We had a wonderful Christmas but it sure went by in a flash!  We did lots of baking on Christmas Eve - mostly cookies and deserts, and then on Christmas Day - for the big dinner.   I had my Mom and Dad over and everyone left with a full stomach and a bag of leftovers for a snack the next day!

I'm also honored and delighted to be working on the next Poppystamps Look Book that will feature all Valentine's Day designs.  The dies aren't all in from the manufacturer yet so I've been working with what I can when it arrives in the mail.
Today I'm happy to share my post for the 12 Kits of Occasions!  The 12 Kits is a group of 12 friends who like to paper craft.  Every month we take turns putting together a kit for the rest of the group.  We all get the same kit and then reveal what we made with it at the end of the month.

The kit this month was put together by Lindsey Larsen from Occasional Crafting!  Our theme this time is "Walking in a Winter Wonderland".    I can't begin to tell you all the amazing goodies that Lindsey put in this kit!  Stamped and die cut images from Papertrey Ink, Avery Elle and Wplus9.  She included lots and lots of embellishments.. pearls , ribbon, wood veneer accents and glittery fringed twine!   You can get a complete list of the ingredients here at The 12 Kits of Occasions Blog!

I made 7 cards and no kidding... I could have kept going.... so no more talking about it.. here's what I made!

Ready to see more designs that were created with this amazing kit?  You're going to just love it all!  You can get a sneak peek of one design from each of the 12 kits members - sort of give you an idea of their style - as well as links to their blogs here at the 12 Kits of Occasions Blog.

Such lovely cards, Jeanne ... I'm especially taken with the gorgeous shimmer on the pine bough, set above the snowflake border ... and that sweet polar bear meandering through his frosty woodland scene is just gorgeous! Happy New Year! Anita :)

Wasn't Lindsey's kit awesome! I can see you loved it as much as I did. The colors were so wonderful and you used them so beautifully with your perfect layering. Love the mix of elements on your first card! The magical woods you created for the bear and the holly & bird with that sparkly paper are especially pretty. And the embossed background for the wreath adds just the right amount of texture. Wishing you and all your family a very blessed 2016!

Wow, Jeanne. I am blown away by all of your beautiful creations. So many things I wish I had thought of. I think you used all of those embellishments perfectly, while I just stared at them and wondered where to start. I love your little snow flakes that I thought were ornaments for the wreath. You were so smart to put that polar bear amongst those trees--wish I had thought of that one, too.

Oh, Jeanne! I can't even tell you how much joy it brings me to see the way you've used my kit!!! I'm giddy that we used the snowflakes similarly...evening pairing it with the same paper. I'm in awe with your layering (when am I not?! lol), and I absolutely adore your polar bear card...I envisioned using those little bobbles floating on the background in a similar way, but your idea to create this gorgeous woody scene is far better than I would have ever thought to do it. I love this card so much! And you and Anita both thought to pair the wreath with the purple and boy is that one gorgeous combination. LOVE every single thing you've created, my friend! What an honor to be the host this month.

Jeanne, your cards are so stunningly beautiful, that first one is the perfect cover for Cards magazine...if it was still around, they'd be so all over that! I absolute love the colorful snowfall that you created on the polar bear card, that is so cute and stylish! And the winter wonderland card is just beautiful and has the perfect placement of the snowflakes.
