Howdy do folks! That's Midwest for Hi! It's Thursday - the perfect day to start a challenge. It gives you a few days to think about what you're going to make before the weekend hits. And if you are like me, there is usually some quiet time on the weekend to do a little crafting. I'm usually staying up late - long after my DH passes out on the couch...and I'm waiting for one of the kiddos to come home from an evening out - or work. I have two posts today for my favorite two challenges - Case Study (scroll down for that one) and Fusion Card Challenge. They are both very near and dear to my heart.
What I love about Fusion - you get a sketch and a photo inspiration- and if you are really clever (or even if you just think you are - like me) then you can work them into one masterpiece!! This photo was dubbed Shiny Pink. I'm thinking Little Red Corvette!!! Actually I took a look at that old Stingray in the photo and it got me thinking of car shows - the sort of local events that we pass every weekend, where folks park their classic vintage automobile in a parking lot for the rest of us to admire and gawk at. It got me thinking of Happy Days if you want the truth - and my son asking me about milk and Coke mixed together (Laverne and Shirley anybody?)
I was happy to put this juke box die to work. I saw it at Hobby Lobby and with my 40% off coupon it was a steal. There were lots of parts to cut out, and lots of them didn't want to be separated from the die (yes even with wax paper), so this one was really a labor of love. I thought it was super cute with the Paper Smooches Sentiment (I'm on to a Cars song now).
Visit my Fusion teamies to see what they made for this one- it should be lots of fun!
I hope you find some time this weekend to play - I'll see you at Fusion Card Challenge!
Have a great day!
