TYIC#2 - Rainbow Thanks Tag

Are you keeping busy?  I know I am - I've got 3 blog hops coming up really fast, and   I'm going for my dental implant on Friday.  That makes me a little nervous so I've been walking again and staying up later to help me sleep.   Too much anxiety!

Do you like tags?  Well did I ever find the place for you!  It's a challenge called Tag You're it!    It's new and just the right size project to finish in an evening.   The inspiration tag is by Laura Bassen.  I loved the distressed ink background she created with the soft vellum cover up.  The layers of graduated color is just so striking isn't it?  I replicated all those layers with die cuts.  

I used a cover plate die, and cut colored card stock in lots of pretty colors gradually moving from dark red to the soft pale yellow at the top.  When I got done it looked like a rainbow to me  - my son said it reminded him of mountains. Some soft vellum clouds and some melted Perler beads that look like water drops added the perfect finishing touch. 

The next challenge was photographing this tag.  I decided to pin the string to a sheet of Styrofoam to keep the twine bow from falling over!  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day and that you're keeping cool!
